A lovely respite from French Quarter madness. Great coffee and a beautiful courtyard complete with fountain to soothe your tired mind. The workers are kind and capable and the espresso pretty near to perfect, making this the perfect place to recharge for an evening strolling the seedy and romantic streets of the Quarter.
The guy working (maybe the owner? Very Irish) was nice and knowledgeable. We got an Irish coffee and an espresso martini. The drinks were good and the atmosphere was great. Laid back, pretty patio space with lots of plants and brick.
Perfect for a grad student wanting a place to read or study, perfect for whisky enthusiasts, perfect for people who want to do shots, perfect for people who love history (connected to an Irish history center). Open late, serves unbelievably good coffee, great pastries, and great ambiance. Close enough to the downtown university campus. I'll be coming here aloooot.
