Phenomenal service by the team and the sandwiches were amazing! So good I forgot to take a pic and ate everything up! Best sandwich I’ve had in years!
Thank you!! Will be back again!

Guy taking orders was a jerk. He mansplained and belittled my 24 YO daughter to having balsamic added to her simple sandwich of prosciutto and cheese, explaining it’s $30 a bottle and our job is to educate not seek you what you want. This while ignoring her explanation of what she wanted and the fact she lived in Italy for 6 months and has had balsamic many times—it was not what she wanted. She probably should have walked away but she got it anyway since others wanted to eat here. Really, we should have all walked away. Very much overrated. And what kind of business treats its customers that way. Very reminiscent of a famous Seinfeld episode about soup.

I was not overly impressed with Stein’s Market and Deli on Magazine Street. The atmosphere is similar to a New York City deli with things crowded all over around a deli counter. The people are friendly, but it is definitely a self service environment. The food is okay but a bit bland for my taste. All of that said, they are extremely busy so a lot of folks must be very pleased with them.

I'm a multiple huge fan of Katz Deli Ny, and this is a place that has huge potential. Over cooked corned beef but delicious coleslaw and potato salad. Pickle was a 6 along with pasta salad(boring) but the Rye was a 9 it was an over all 6 out of 10

One of the best places on the planet for a Reuben sandwich 😋

Best Reuben ever. Try the Stolzfus. Great beer selection. Know what you want when you come to the counter, Dan runs a tight ship.

The food wasn’t bad but it also wasn’t good…it’s very cramped in there and there are tables blocking the area where you would form a line. I personally wouldn’t go back here.

If you're a displaced New Yawker looking for that cross pollination of when the Beastie Boys made No Sleep Til Brooklyn and Barney Greengrass knew what a schmear of cream cheese looked like on a bagel then this is your spot. If you find yourself puzzled by this review, then scroll so the NYers in New Orleans can read and eat.

Best sandwich I've had in my life today at Stein's. The Rachel (Reuben with Pastrami) is perfection. My friend tells me the Reuben with corned beef is also a 10/10. If you're in new orleans you need to try their Reubens.
