Everything looks delicious but the energy is off. I tried to make contact with the person working there and they dodged my glance... I would've bought something...

Last Tuesday I had the worst customer service. For context, I am a POC (An asian woman) and I felt very unwelcomed by your white female worker. She straight up ignored me and said something discriminatory. She thought I didn't hear what she said but I did. She then proceeded to get my order wrong. I just left from utter disappointment. Never thought I would experience such a thing from a bakery shop.

After dinner my boyfriend and I were looking for dessert and I decided to stop in for a piece of King cake (to go). This place is so cute. Freret St. has a distinct vibe and this place fits in well, in my opinion. Free street parking but Freret street gets packed, so give yourself some extra time for parking. French inspiration, nailed it. King cake was 7/10. A little over $8 including taxes for the slice of king cake. Packaging for the dessert was charming and was accompanied by napkins and a wooden spork. I will be back!!

My family and friends have ordered from sucre via Uber Eats. The desserts were so stale and hard that you can throw them at a wall and put a hole in it. The food was unprotected and exposed to the driver and whomever they have in the car with them (young children, pets, etc.)sucre is supposed to protect the food with a seal-that is Uber Eats' policy. Sometimes they use a seal-most times they don’t. My last order there was no seal. Everything was wide open (my friend had the same issue). I filed a complaint with Uber Eats and they refunded all of my money. This bakery knows the policy and they ignore it at the customer’s expense. THIS IS A PUBLIC HEALTH HAZARD. I will no longer order from this bakery and will alert the public on every platform that I can.

I had the cheesecake and it was amazing! Jada was very friendly and patient as I was deciding. 10/10 would visit again, I can't believe this spot was hiding in the neighborhood

My $14 mini chocolate dessert had a taste reminiscent of freezer burn and it was not good. I sampled the mint chocolate chip Gelato and it was gritty. Just yuck. The service was fine...she rang me up, didn't know much about the product. The atmosphere was fine. It's pretty inside. Even had the dessert been good, would not have been worth what I paid. If it was French quality, sure. For the price, it should be on point, period. If the mint chocolate chip is gritty-throw it out. It is not worthy of the cost. She gave me some explanation of humidity, blah blah. I eat gelato from NOLA to Biloxi that is perfect and we all have absurd humidity. Preferring gourmet food, wine, desserts, etc. the price is not a deterrent. I expect premium goods in return for my premium payment.

It’s basically a cute shop with overpriced desserts! Don’t understand the hype 😕

First off the girl at the register had no clue about what ingredients each item had and/or could talk about the food in general. We mentioned that we were tourists and it was our first time, that we saw this place on Instagram…still no engagement. She was there as a cashier, with no interest in making a sale. Never made an effort to say anything about the gelatos, even though I was looking at them and talking about the flavors with my friends. I had to ask if I could try them! When we asked for recommendations or the most popular item, she proceeded to compare the Nid d’ Abeille to the taste of a disgusting hot dog. She suggested to get the Macaroons as the only thing there that was worth our money.

I got a scoop of the Brown Butter Pecan gelato, 2 Butter Madeleine and 2 Petit Four. Wanted to try different things and give this place a shot. Not only the service was terrible but the food was just average. Was expecting something else since everything looks so yummy and beautiful online.

I love this place, but it's pricey. 2 macaroons for 14 or 12 dollars is a lot. It's good though but very pricey.
