Nice dining room & patio, decent drinks but the food wasn’t all that. Could barely find any pappardelle under the ocean of bolognese sauce. Corn bread wasn’t special, either.🤷🏻♂️

Nice place with good drinks
Visited on a beautiful evening. It has great open air seating. Vibes are hipster-y, with a speakeasy like bar. Recommend doing reservations ahead of time if you want the option to dine en plein aire.
Had a paired down menu, but had options for all. I had the short rib which was good, but the veggies tasted like they were previously frozen.
Service was fast and responsive. Grateful for the hospitality. It's worth a visit, and is central to the French Quarter.
I gave three stars due to the high cost vs. quality of food.

Came in for dinner with a friend and friend ordered a burger with no cheese. Food comes and the burger has cheese. The waiter told my friend to scrape off the cheese. I said the server could make up the mistake to my friend by offering him some additional salad to his dinner. The waiter never did. Never got a price reduction or anything else.
I was appalled the server thought serving something that was incorrect should be on us, not on him to correct.
I can't believe the restaurant was too cheap to offer a little more salad instead of having to replace a whole burger order.
Came before and thought the place was nice, even thought to return with more guests soon but after seeing how expensive the food is and how Sylvain treats customers after a botched order, I'm never coming back.

Waited 15 minutes after we were seated with a reservation. No one came. We left.
Seated right away. The food was good. My burger came with the bottom bun completely soggy and flat. A new bun was brought quickly. Overall a good experience.

Worst meal I had in NOLA! Not one person in our party of 6 liked their food. Over salted fish with cold side dishes, burger served plain with no lettuce, tomato, or onion. Terrible tasting spaghetti. The service was the worst. Basically, we were ignored after we gave our order. No one ever asked if we liked our meal, needed anything or refilled drinks. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. The only redeeming quality is the nice atmosphere. I recommend skipping this place.

A small, cozy, intimate restaurant with just a few tables. We came on a Tuesday night without a reservation because it was all booked but were able to get seated. Great atmosphere and the staff are friendly.
We ordered the PAPPARDELLE BOLOGNESE, SYLVAIN BURGER, and the PAN ROASTED STRIPED BASS. Everything was above average but most of the meat lacked in seasoning. The burger was definitely average and the fries were generously seasoned. The pasta had a strange aftertaste and wasn’t our favorite. And the bass also lacked in flavor.
I’m sure this place is better than what we had tonight. Disappointed that we didn’t have a better experience, but I would give it a second try.

Creative craft cocktails as always - mine were spot on and well balanced, even being served by the service tender. She was possibly the most efficient service Bt I've been ever watched. Exact and productive. Even so, very friendly and knowledgeable. Live meeting the general manager and the amuses, much appreciated. As always, top tier. Sylvian should ld be a mecca for cocktail enthusiastist. Cheers!

Restaurantji Recommends
Fantastic ambiance. Server had a great attitude, just didn’t come around too often and difficulty getting his attention but this was likely due to how full and loud it is in the restaurant.
Our table ordered the short ribs and chicken sandwich. Ribs were tender, but veggies with it were very crunchy, not something we were expecting. We’re huge fans of using wine in roasts and short ribs, but either too much was used in this case or it wasn’t cooked down enough as it overwhelmed the flavor of the beef and other seasonings.
Fries were delicious and wonderfully crispy, but I really don’t see what the fuss is over the chicken sandwich. Yes it was cooked properly but the chicken had zero flavor. The pickles were okay, but very thinly sliced that I missed that crunch you get with a bite of a pickle.
The server brought a side of lemon aioli….it was a delicious accompaniment to the sandwich as was the Crystal hot sauce, however this sandwich still fell very short for me. I would not order again or recommend it. You can get better ones for 1/3 of the price at a fast food restaurant.

We didn’t have a reservation but they accommodated us quickly at the bar. Unfortunately my friend ordered a dish thinking it was fish but it was some creamy risotto that made her sick. Just because she can’t have cream but didn’t realize til it was too late. We had the burger
Delicious. Try the aioli’

The restaurant is overrated, and the food portions don’t match the high prices. I ordered a salad that looked more like a side dish than a main course.
On top of that, the suggested tip starts at 20% and can go as high as 30%, which is crazy given the average quality of the food and service. It just feels unreasonable!
Just don’t go to this place. I wouldn’t recommend it at all.

It’s dark, it’s cool, and they’ll play 60’s/70’s rock gems as the house music. The food is pretty good too. This is my favorite spot I’ve found after several years living in The Quarter. The vibe is perfect. Its the darkness and the music that really makes me not want to leave. It’s rock’n’roll without being a dive. Oh yeah, did I say the food is pretty good too?
A tucked away gem in the French quarter with a lovely atmosphere complemented by a quaint open air patio in the back. The bartender was highly knowledgeable, the food was delicious, and the overall vibe was relaxing. I highly recommend and will be returning the next time I'm in Nola.
