I stopped in to order something to-go and also returned later with a large group. Attention from service personnel seems casual. We stood for a long time waiting at the bar to make our to-go order and another person also waiting gave up and left. Service for our large group was friendly but also a bit haphazard and we had to ask for some things multiple times. BUT overall it was a good place to eat and hang out. The atmosphere is pretty cool and the food is good.Notable:- There is outdoor seating out front- There is a large table upstairs for large groupsKid-friendliness: The music is very loud in there so kids aren't going to bother anyone!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp to get into the restaurant.

It was a great experience!Be aware that the large drink (in our case margarita) is 32 ounces for a very reasonable price.

This is a little hole-in-the-wall taqueria with a lovely patio up front and a beautiful view of St. Charles Avenue. I always sit outside because I love the view and the music is loud inside. They have just about the best ceviche I have ever had in New Orleans! Plenty of fresh lime juice and cilantro... Their grilled fish tacos are amazing, and you can get them with fried fish if you prefer. I also love their mushroom tacos and usually get two each of the grilled fish and the mushroom tacos a la carte and the ceviche. My son brought me back a margarita that was the biggest I had ever seen for $16! It was way too much for me so we each got two glasses out of it... a real bargain. I was born in San Antonio and I know my Mexican food. This place is small but very clean and the food is very fresh. You will not be disappointed in a meal that cost less than half of the price of other Mexican joints and is way better!

We stopped by the day of the St Patrick's day parade so this is probably not the most fair assessment since they were very busy but here goes.. We did get a seat at the bar pretty fast. Bartender was nice, gave us menus asked us what we wanted to drink. Husband ordered a margarita on the rocks and I ordered a frozen one. We were served two frozen but decided not to complain because they were so busy. They were really good and a nice size. We ordered tacos but it took forever for them to arrive, and I was starving. The people next to us were served much faster than us. The tacos were good, but not worth that long of a wait. I think I would give them another chance but not a destination for me.

Our server was great. The good was great. We chose to sit outside facing the street so we could watch the street cars. The crackhead presence is so strong here. Someone in the kitchen stepped out to smoke, and a homeless crackhead chick named Tia walked up to him . They shared hellos, and she asked if she could use the bathroom. He said, "Sure, go ahead." 15 minutes later, she barely walks out. It's more of a tweaking stumble. She kept coming and going up and down the stairs in and out of the restaurant searching for something in her bag, in her shirt, scratching her head, yelling to the bartender inside. She finally was able to cross the street and proceeded to tweak, and a man with a bright green wig joined her. 10 minutes after watching them pace and jump around, they both came back to the restaurant to use the bathroom. One her way out this time, she stopped right by our table, looked at me, looked at my food, and said, "y'all have a good day now. She stumbled down the steps, crossed the street and continued to pace, and jitterbug. My husband and I were appalled they let this go on and were made to feel uncomfortable. Being that they all knew her and she knew them, I'm assuming she's a regular. It's ashame, the quesa birra tacos were delicious.

Waitress was great. My margarita was great too. I was told the taco would come on a soft shell though, and it came on a hard shell which I didn’t like. Great cheese

My fiance and I found this place a few months back. We frequently visit New Orleans and we come to Tacos and Beer every visit, sometimes more than once per trip. The food has a flavor all its own. Service is pretty good, parking is typical for the city but we can always find a place to park.

In from New York. Had Julian as our waiter. Very cool guy. Guac was slamming. We were 6 guys and got three super packs (pork, chicken and steak) The steak was my favorite. Definitely want to get back to this place before the end of the trip. Prices were very reasonable also.

My friends and I stopped here on our way to the garden district on a whim and were pleasantly surprised by how great of an experience it was. Outdoor seating and bottomless chips and salsa is hard to pass up and the menu had a great variety of options. Our server James did a wonderful job keeping the chips and drinks flowing throughout the meal. Overall, would recommend to a friend and you should stop by :)

Taco Tuesday deal is great. We did have to wait at lunch time, but it wasn't super long for a table for 2, maybe 20 minutes. Lengua taco had a flavor I disliked but it was my first time trying that anywhere, so I won't knock them for that. Carne asada, al pastor, birria, and ground beef tacos were awesome. Server was nice and efficient. Tacos came out pretty fast. Would definitely be back if we were local.
