This place should be hopping every day. The food was absolutely incredible and Misty, our server was great. We had a variety of dishes and the flavor of each of them was superb. It was definitely spicy, but we were warned it was, and the spice did not overpower the amazing flavors. This place is a definite repeat and worth going to, especially if you’re looking for something different than fried Southern. I hope this place has a long life. If I were a local, I’d make it a regular dining experience.

Vegetarian options: Vegan menu is outstanding. The pumpkin curry was heavenly, the fried eggplant melt-in-your mouth, and the curry tofu noodle soup like biting into silky pillows. We simply couldn’t stay away and had to eat there twice during our 4-day stay in NOLA. Service was spectacular, and they even serve a few brands of NA beer. Will be dreaming of these meals for months!

Amazing ambiance, modern lounge music, the food is 10/10..been to Thailand a few times and this place is spot on..had the tom yum soup and the Khao soi tofu, delicious! Cocktail "East meets West" is divine..our server Gabe is sweet and spicy too lol..takes great pictures and makes the whole experience one to remember. This place is a whole vibe. Modern, chic, clean and authentic Thai food. Would definitely recommend ?Vegetarian options: Has a great vegan selection ?

It’s a shame. We’ve been here before and the food and drinks are great but the service is abysmal. After waiting 45 minutes for a table we were seated and had to wait another 38 minutes before our waiter spoke to us. Was there an apology for the delay? You’re dreaming. When the food and drinks were placed down there was no eye contact and it was slammed down. It was like our presence was an inconvenience. The food was amazing though but we only ordered starters because we didn’t want to give them too much business after the appalling service. They also refused to split the bill. Shame. Will not return

Oh. My. God. If I could give 10 stars, I would. In NOLA for the week and were looking for some nice spots with good vegan/vegetarian/pescatarian options as our party has a mix, and this fit the bill perfectly. We discovered it just by walking past and smelling it and being immediately taken. The server, Misty, was SO helpful and friendly throughout the experience. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Our favorite appetizer was the tofu satay which was rich with flavor, and our favorite entrée was the pumpkin curry which was so creamy and delicate while still being flavorful. The “blooming eggplant” was also beautifully plated. The atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and kid friendly, and out looks Decatur street in the French Quarter. Truly a beautiful restaurant experience, and we can’t thank Misty enough for her amazing service???

Misty is an all-star! She was welcoming even though we came in the last hour. Watching her run the floor (alone) was fascinating given the density populated witching hour of the restaurant. The food was something I could never have dreamed up. Every step of the way as the food rolled in my eyes got wider and brighter. Kudos to this magical little find. I will certainly be back as soon as possible.

When food is made with love it shows in the first bite...and this is what you discover when you enter this restaurant. Each dish transports you to Thailand, its smells and textures are very well achieved. On the other hand, the service is extremely adequate, always seeking customer satisfaction. Quite a discovery and one of the biggest recommendations I make in this city. To return many times!

I first went to Thaihey during a NOLA visit in Nov 2022. It was my first time back in NOLA since before the pandemic and a couple of my favorite restaurants didn't survive, so I was looking to add a new one to the list. I found it online and peeked at the menu. I was intrigued by the separate vegan menu (I'm not vegan, but I eat a lot of vegan food) and it was near my hotel, so I went there for lunch immediately. Let me tell you, IT WAS FANTASTIC. I tend to be one of those people who, when they like a place, will become a loyal customer and keep going back, as well as tell anyone who will listen about it. Following suit, I went back the next day and brought a friend. I tried going for a third time during that trip, but sadly, I couldn't make it work. I ended that trip with not only *a* new NOLA favorite restaurant for me, but *thee* new favorite- yep, that's right, #1!A few months later, I had some airline points to use, so I flew down for one day and night and at least half of the reason was to eat there again and it didn't disappoint. I went again last October and ate there twice. I also went this past weekend and ate there twice (I wasn't lying about that whole "loyal customer" bit!). I've brought a few friends and my husband a handful of those times and recommend it to everyone I know who's planning a NOLA visit. What do I like there? The tofu satay, the fried okra, the pumpkin curry and the Tom Kha tofu soup are what keep me eagerly awaiting my return. I keep telling myself I will branch out and try some new stuff "next time", but those are the items that keep me coming back. If you're in the mood for a drink, the cocktails are impeccable and if you're looking for something N/A, the Purple Palmer is top notch. It's a small, cozy, airy restaurant that gives off those light romantic French Quarter vibes. There's indoor and outdoor seating. And I can't leave a review without a special shoutout to servers Misty and Gabe. I had Misty as a server once during my trip last fall and again this weekend. She was the one who turned me onto the Tom Kha tofu soup, so if she recommends something to you, trust it! Gabe was my server on my most recent time there this past Saturday and he was exceptionally on point, friendly and an overall breath of fresh air in contrast to the Saturday night/holiday weekend French Quarter craziness.I am so glad to have come across this restaurant, as it's truly one of my all-time favorites not only in NOLA, but anywhere. I'll keep coming back here as long as it exists and I continue visiting New Orleans.

We were here for the second time, but the first time we were served by a large lady. She ruined our entire dinner. Super rude waitress. The food was good, but our shrimps in every dish (and we had 3 dishes with shrimps) tasted of drugs. I don't know how to explain the taste, but it was very strange. We ate everything but the taste was strange. It was the first timeA completely different taste of shrimp
