My SIL who is a local brought us here for dinner and I'm glad she did. Too many great options to choose from. I can't wait to come back and have that Harry's po-boy. Chad gave us great service.

The Camellia Grill is one of our go-to restaurants for breakfast in New Orleans. We've been coming here for 30+ years. The staff is friendly, warm, and welcoming, the service is impeccable, the food is simple but perfectly made and delicious. If one has to wait for a seat, it's well worth it. This is to breakfast what Commander's Palace is to lunch and dinner -- a gem.

Frozen oysters on the poorboy. Waffle mediocre. Borderline rude service, and on a not busy day.
Came often years ago and it’s coasting on past accomplishments.
Many much better options. Don’t waste your time and money.

We love this place. Don't leave without the fried pecan pie and ice cream. It's a really pretty trolley ride through the garden district to get there.

The fried green tomatoes have a breading similar to cheese sticks & no seasoning. Not what you expect when ordering a traditional Southern staple item.
By all means do not pass up the opportunity to visit Camellia Grill. We enjoyed a 40th anniversary breakfast here after a pleasant street car ride from the French Quarter and it brought back many good memories of our honeymoon. It was a delight!

When I was a little boy in the 1960's and 70's, my grandfather, Bill, was a chef at Camellia Grill from the early 1950's through the late 1970's. I am disappointed that out of all the old photos, my grandfather is not on any of them..... He was the guy that prepared the great food that the famous Harry served the customers. He and Harry often rode to work together! My grandfather generally went to work at 4pm and usually did not get home until around 3 a.m. Thank you William (Bill) Adams Sr., for your great service to this restaurant! Love your grandson.
