Awful service. Rude staff. The wine list is very limited despite the name.

I realize I am nothing special and I never expect special treatment. I am however a human being and would hope to be treated like one. If you are also a human being and would hope to be treated like one…I would suggest skipping this place that uses good lighting to their benefit, but treats people with a level of unkindness I have not experienced since childhood bullies. Go ANYWHERE else. Save your money and heart. There’s better food and wine elsewhere.

Great spot for casual outdoor (or indoor) food and drinks. Excellent beer, wine, and spirit selection. The food is also criminally underrated. There’s not much better than goose-fat fries and mussels. Go on a cool afternoon and listen to the streetcar roll by. A local favorite for a reason.

Went here for the first time last weekend. The bar was packed and had a great vibe. Huge wine list. Great prices. Knowledgeable bar tenders. Next time will go back for food. Highly recommend.

Very busy place! It was absolutely packed & there wasn't much seating left inside. The patio was a little better; but, it was close to full too. They do have a good wine selection & the menu looked good. They were out of what I wanted; but, fried frog legs is a hard-to-find item. So, anyplace that serves it is gonna run out pretty quick.

I met some friends at this, I guess I can say, classic New Orleans bar/restsurant. We were having a meeting, so just two rounds of drinks and some French fries. Drinks were prepared reasonably fast and the bartender was tolerant of us, sometimes that is the way here in the city. We laughed, because we felt important being tolerated. It also helped we were drinking easily prepared cocktails. We ordered some French fries and they were super tasty. Always a good hang.

Woof, we were in New Orleans for a week and this is the only place we had bad service. Bartender was rude as hell, couldn’t make an aperol spritz correctly, and the food sucked. It’s cute outside but that’s about it. We’re both bartenders sooooo how do you mess up this badly?? Spent $70+ on garbage food and drinks, cool!

Cool joint right on Saint Charles Avenue themed after a huge trolley car. It’s old and New Orleans charming. The food was fast and good and served with a smile. New Orleans needs more places like this that are open past 9 PM

Great wine in a lovely atmosphere. The food is just not good. The shrimp bisque is a flavorless, inviscid, broth. The fried oysters and fried shrimp were over battered withabsolutely no seasoning. The only salt in them was what was left from their time in the ocean.
The fries were soggy and served with sauces that did not compliment their flavor profile. Overall, just order drinks if you decided to visit this cozy wine bar on st charles

We were visiting New Orleans and staying in the Garden District when we spotted The Delachaise Wine Bar on our map. It looked like the perfect spot to relax with a glass of wine on a Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, the reality didn’t match the expectation.

When we arrived around 4 PM, the place looked completely deserted. There were two staff members sitting out front smoking, which didn’t exactly create a welcoming or professional first impression. For what should’ve been a prime weekend time, the lack of energy and atmosphere was surprising and disappointing.

We ended up leaving without going in. Maybe it’s better in the evenings, but based on our experience, we won’t be returning.

Have been here multiple times. Great wine bar with a lot of outdoor and indoor seating with an eclectic vibe. Very large wine selection but also have a full bar and a large beer selection. This last time we were here the coolers were broken and the kegs empty so unfortunately they had absolutely no beer. Bartenders were a little gruff but nice and friendly, contradictory but true. We had several items from the menu and they were all good. The best was the charcuterie board. The deviled eggs were creamy and the salmon wasn’t overpowering. The steak bruschetta was good but had a little too much smoke flavor for me. The chicken wings are very very heavily breaded/battered which I really enjoyed but another person in my group didn’t like that. Definitely not your traditional wing but very good. We didn’t ask questions about the wines so I can’t comment on the knowledge of the servers, but I was able to taste a couple that I was interested in before choosing the one I wanted. This place is casual, comfortable and a must try. I really enjoyed it every time I visit.

Good food, tough ordering at the bar when it's busy. The fries are as good as promised!
