I went to see the phenomenal Nayo Jones experience. This is one of my favorite acts to see here. Her show is absolutely phenomenal! The venue however, is not. We bought tickets to the show and expected to get decent seating. Who ever was seating people on 3/30/2024, did a horrible job. We got seated in the very back corner on a worn out sofa from the early 1900’s that was so low I couldn’t see the artist. I was highly annoyed to find out that you didn’t need tickets at all. Some people walked in without paying and sat in reserved seating!!!! Im still lost on the purpose of reservations if you can still get messed up seating and walk in without paying and get the best seats in the house! Guess it just depends on who is at the door. The venue is NOT transparent about this at all so be mindful when getting tickets to the show. No idea why they just don’t do a cover charge. The service was not good either. I felt so bad for the young lady who served 80% of the room by herself on her birthday while the other young lady just paced back and forth all night picking up plates. By the time she got to us the 1st set was almost over, she was very sweet tho. I would 100% pay to see the Nayo Jones experience because she’s nothing short of amazing , but this venue and the service here left much to be desired.Vegetarian options: Only 2 salads offered here if you are a vegetarian and you would have to request the bacon be removed from one.Dietary restrictions: If you are vegan, vegetarian, or follow a kosher diet, this menu is not for you at all. The music is always great tho.

We didn’t eat anything there, but attended last week for Big Sam. Tickets were $25 and then Sam proceeded to hit everyone up for tips in such a way that it felt rude not tip more on top of the $25. I had never before been that hit up for tips after paying a healthy entrance fee. That will likely be the last time I take friends to see Big Sam in a local bar/venue.

Came to the evening show.It was amazing. Truly one of the only and greatest jazz authentic experiences.Grateful I got to share this experience with a loved one.Parking: No parking… at all… walking.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. It’s a dark jazz bar and everyone is drinking.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy access entry and exitEasy access to restrooms

On the latest trip to Nola i finally made it to a Jazz club. I made the reservations online with the ticket prices really reasonable. Located deep on Bourbon St the club us nesseled inside of a hotel. We took our seats in front of the stage and was warmly greeted by our server. We ordered crabcakes with a side of rice and a few drinks. The featured performer and her band was outstanding!! Since it was the last show of the evening we were treated to a wonderful encore. The scene was cozy, the staff great and the food/drinks delightful.

Great performance broken down in 2 parts with the first show starting at 7:30 and the second at 9pm with a 30 minute break in between. Highly recommend for the ambiance, great jazz, and good service.

The music (Brass-A-Holics) was phenomenal; the venue was appalling. The band was the only thing that kept us for leaving early. There were so many awful things about the venue from the seating to the service. If you do not read any further, take this from my review, don't buy tickets and don't count of good service.Tickets were $61.78, inclusive of fees. We later discovered that tickets were neither required to enter the show or to get a seat. Walk-ins were allowed into the show without buying a ticket and were given better seats than our reserved seats. Our tickets did not get us comfortable seats or close seats, just guaranteed seats. Instead of the few comfy seats along the side or back walls, we were on narrow chairs in a row, near the back of the room. Despite adequate floor space, these row seats were packed together tightly. We were all pressed together with constant contact of our hips and arms with surrounding guests, and the waitstaff repeatedly brushed up/bumped into my head or shoulders every time they passed behind us.The bar and staff were terrible. My drink a Bee's Knees tasted like lemon water. My wife's martini was watered down. Aside from taking/delivering our first order, we did not see the waiter again until the 1st set was finishing and he delivered our bill.We told him we planned to stay for the second set and would order coffee, more drink and some food. They did not have coffee, so I made some in our hotel room, but was denied re-entry with it, so we sat directly outside the door while we finished our coffees. Later, we noticed a woman walk in with a beer, show it to the door person, and then come in and sit drinking it. The sound and view were nearly as good outside as they would have been from our paid-seats inside. They were also cooler. The venue was uncomfortably hot to the point we sweated.During the 60 minute 2nd set, our waiter never once came back to us. At one point we asked a waitress to refill our water glasses. About 25 minutes later she returned with a water pitcher, which she used to refill the glasses in her row, and then she left without offering us water. There was still water in her pitcher, so we assumed it was an intentional slight. When the second set finished, we were done with the venue. I had to chase down the waiter to get our check and then waited an inordinate amount of time for him to return with our credit card. I planned to pay in cash, but was warned away by another couple who told us they gave him $60 for a $38 bill (when the checks were distributed near the end of the first set) and asked him to bring back their change so they could tip. When the 2nd set was ending, they asked him for their change, and he claimed he 'forgot.' Not a very believable explanation.

We came here on a Sunday night around 7:30 when the show started. The seating is a little weird (the reason for 4 stars and not 5). They jam everyone together in rows with no space in between your neighbor and I didn't like that. I don't like being that close to strangers, but was able to get an end seat. The drinks were good and moderately priced. The music was very nice to listen to. They had some desserts and other small plates that we didn't try, but they looked good.

Went on 2.22.24 around 9 pm. The group was performing more hip hop, Muzak, really bland music and one of the band members spent most of the time talking at the audience trying to get them to clap and cheer. Not authentic jazz at all. Disappointed in the music. However the hotel, bar device and food was very good.

This place was fun.I had the chicken wings, they were good, well done, not a bunch of sauce. So they were not very messy. I don't care for blue cheese, but it was easy to shake off.The show was great. Very jazzy, better than I thought it was going to be.
