If you love big juicy ribs with meat falling off the bones, don't order ribs at The Joint. The pulled pork and burnt ends looked good, and I wish I'd ordered one of them. The potato salad was good, but nothing special. The beans were excellent with generous amounts of pork mixed in.

Awesome BBQ in a cool building. My dad from Texas was with us and he said some of the best bbq he has had… and he sets the bar high.

A cultural icon, delicious!
We found a really great BBQ place in New Orleans. We had the burnt ends, the brisket, and the sausage. All were delicious. The Mac and cheese awesome. The beans were not so good but that's just a side. No fries.

Best BBQ I’ve had in a long time. What sets this place apart is that every single side dish is perfection. Great atmosphere, a TV to watch sports, and brisket and ribs that can make you shed a tear

I drove from Gulfport Mississippi just to get some of this barbecue, just to be highly disappointed. The brisket plate comes with four small pieces of brisket when mostly fat hardly any meat. The sides don’t even get me started. But let’s go there. The mac & cheese was dry no cheese. The slaw was oh, it was not slowing. The baked beans was not baked. They was just beans. And for last the potato salad No salad just potatoes. Then we had nerve to buy pecan pie, This Was nasty also , To think I passed up the blue oaks to come here. Never again, Highly disappointed customer.

WOW!!! This is insanely great bbq spot. Some of the best bbq I’ve had in my life. The burnt ends and pulled pork in particular were out of this world. Amazing service, really great people. Love the decor. Great price for the 3 of us to be completely stuffed. The pecan pie was also easily the best pecan pie I’ve ever had. Come here if you get the chance. I loved it so much had to take a tshirt to remember and brag about it back home!

This is easily the best barbecue I have ever had in New Orleans! To make things even better, the drinks were cheap, and the cocktails delicious! We were interested in exploring areas off the beaten tourist path, and our bartender/server was kind enough to write down a list of recommendations! Definitely recommend getting the potato salad, trust me! The Bywater area is great, and The Joint is a perfect example!

Nothing beats The Joint. We’ve been coming for years and it hits the spot every time. You cannot go wrong with the menu, but I always get the brisket. And if you don’t get the Mac n cheese, you’re missing out. Kids love it, grandmas love it, everyone loves it. Near the Mississippi River and a big green space with a huge swing. If you come when the sun is setting, you’re in for a treat. The sky fills with vibrant pinks and purples- a perfect pairing to the most delicious smoked meat in the city, hands down.
