Wow, this place felt like a diamond in the rough, we walked in after doing a bunch of sleuthing and it was not busy. The atmosphere was light, colorful and nice. Our server Jack was so nice friendly and on the ball. I have a dairy allergy and he really took the time to help. The food didn’t come out fast but is was hot and perfect. Really enjoyed our drinks also! 10/10

We ate here twice during our trip to the Big Easy. Their food we ate was excellent—standouts were the migas, fried chicken, french toast bites, and shrimp and grits.
Service was attentive and kind. It lagged a little at some points, though we were generally well cared for.

Excellent service and great local recommendations for other parts of our trip. Coffee cocktails and entrees were all favorites. Only downside was having to choose between different things

The lack of customer service here was something else.
We put our name on the list and were told it would be about 30 mins. We said no problem, we will wait outside. We walked to get coffee since we had 30 mins, got back in 25 mins and the guy was rude, said since we didn't wait in the 1 spot, he now has us on the bottom of the list and it would be another 30 min wait, so we left and wont be back.
There are so many other breakfast places around, this place was not welcoming at all. It seemed like we were bothering them.

Server Jaleal was very friendly and offered GREAT service. Made our visit even more enjoyable. The food is always the star of the show. Chicken St Charles, catfish and grits, hot salmon omelette and pancakes were all a huge hit! Love coming here!

The Ruby Slipper is rich with history in a great spot in Downtown New Orleans. The staff was pleasant and insightful to the items in the menu, as well as taking time to be friendly and speak to you on a personal level. The food was perfectly prepared and the wait wasn't long at all. For the quality of the food, the speed was a pleasant surprise. I will definitely be back.

Outstanding service by Michelle and food that was out of this worldOur group of 7 were celebrating our friend’s 60th and they made her feel so special. Definitely a cafe to add to your plans, but make sure you go to the Burgundy Street location

Jack was the best! We really enjoyed his company and his excellent service. He told us about the history location and gave recommendations for our visit. The food was great and even though part of my order was not correct, it was quickly rectified by our server and the kitchen. The eggs were poached perfectly
