Had my mom's 80th birthday cake made by Sweet Life. The cake was so good (flavor and design). Everyone raved about it and wanted to know where I got it! Only issue was it was promised at 10am and wasn't ready until approximately 10:20. Delicious cake!

I emailed photos of the party decorations/plates & wanted the cake to match. Cake was plain pink, no decorations other than "rose gold"- aka brown sprinkles on the side. No other icing decorations. PLAIN. I had to schedule a specific time for pick up which I have never done at a bakery. I had to pay another $16.50 to re-ice it, and wait 1/2 hour, and it was still plain. While the carrot cake itself was good the icing was almost a marshmellow. I won't be back.

Love this bakery amd the owner is awesome she goes over and beyond .

I usually dont leave negative reviews l, But I wasted money on my birthday cake. I specifically asked for a LEMON cake!. This cake was not it! Not only that I had to tell the young girl to put a cover on the front of the cake she looked liked at me like I was crazy. I will not be coming back and I threw the whole cake away because everybody at my birthday dinner said the cake didn't have any taste to it I'm sorry but I'm very sad and disappointed! I asked Jenny to call me but Jessica her employee lied and said I was cussing and acting like a child. I emailed you Jenny asking you to give me a call and you still haven't responded to me email. I wasn't acting like a child my birthday was ruined because of your cake not being what I asked for and it didn't even Have a taste to it i had to throw it away and it was embarrassing when I had a birthday dinner at Ruth Chris!

While other wedding cake bakeries told me no to the flavors I wanted, multiple flavors on the different layers, and even the design, Jenn said yes and that's easy. After being told no so many times and tasting dry, flavorless cakes, I was at a loss on where to get a wedding cake. A coworker recommend Sweet Life and I contacted Jenn and we set up a tasting for all the flavors I was interested in. We ended up getting 3 different flavors for the different layers because they were so good that I couldn't choose. Jenn also told me the design I picked out was easy for them to do. The cake was beautiful and exactly what we wanted. I was very glad I asked for pieces of the cake to be brought to our suite so we could try some of the delicious wedding cake since the rest of the cake was eaten at the reception.

I’m not someone who usually leaves negative reviews but my experience with this bakery was extremely disappointing. I had been in contact with them back and forth through emails about a custom cake I needed for a birthday celebration 2 months before the event date. I had paid the deposit 3 weeks prior to pickup and thought everything was good to go. I called the bakery about 20 minutes before pickup to make sure it was ready just to find out that they completely LOST my order. We are from out of town and were visiting NOLA for this surprise birthday celebration and our plans were now ruined. We originally ordered a vanilla cake and were told that our only option was for an almond cake (the whole reason we chose vanilla was because we had picky eaters). After asking if there was any other option, we were offered a refund on our deposit as if they were doing us a favor by giving me my money back for a service I never received. No alternate solutions, no offer to remake the cake, no recommendations on where to find replacements. Just was told “sorry we’re closed tomorrow so you can either get almond today or we can offer you a refund.”

Went out on a limb and for my daughter's college graduation and SO Glad I did!! Not only was the cake amazing it was absolutely delicious!!! Not a piece left over!!! The best bakery and service hands down! Please don’t hesitate to book them for your next event or cupcake craving!!!

I have never had a bad experience here. The owners are amazing and so friendly. The items this bakery sells are to die for. When Mardi Gras hits , they have the absolute best king cake. I have to start and end every year with one of their king cakes.

This is the best place in New Orleans for wedding cakes—hands down, 100%! Their prices are completely reasonable, customization is easy, communication is stress free and they don’t charge an arm and a leg for every small addition. And the best part? The cake is absolutely delicious!

I received rave reviews from every single guest, including those who work in the wedding industry across multiple states and have tasted plenty of wedding cakes over the years. Everyone said it was one of the best, if not the best, they had ever had.

I walked into the Sweet Life bakery on a whim while I was in the area. Never having tasted their king cake, I walked into the store and was happily greeted by Armond with a smile. He suggested the chocolate almond flavor which he said was one of their best but most underrated of the king cakes available. I teetered back and forth about ooey gooey or chocolate almond…chose my king cake and thanked Armond before heading to my car 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 WOW was he right about the chocolate almond! It was so flavorful, the cake was perfectly soft and flaky and the chocolate almond combination was a sensational pair! Thank you so much Armond and Sweet Life; I’ll be back for more!

Cake was made different than the one I requested . I asked for a cake that was on their website (with different colors), but due to them changing the amount of layers the proportions of the decor looked very weird. I mentioned it upon pickup but the person there shrugged and said he wasn't a baker and couldn't help.

The cake was decent, but for the price, I was a little disappointed.
