We loved this place and had a memorable evening there: very good jazz concert and excellent dinner in a beautiful setting. The decor is superb and the cuisine is truly delicate and original. We had a drink before the concert on the beautiful terrace with its braziers. A favorite !

their staff and event planner won't honor reservations! I don't know if I will ever return after they ruined my birthday.the manager and event planner are very inhospitable so just a heads up before you try and book ANYTHING here

Ruined my birthday but hey! After planning in advance with their "Event Planner", Rachel, I showed up and they decided to give my whole reservation/room to another party that showed up before my reserved time. They did nothing to make it right and I ended up paying more for it. It's sad because I've always loved the Columns but now it's forever tarnished after ruining my birthday.

Drinks , adult conversation and delicious appetizers on a Saturday afternoon. We had no reservation and we weren't feeling like sitting outside so the staff graciously opened up a table in the coffee shop/ morning room with all amenities . Nice fire ! Best classic Sazerac I've had! Stuffed calamari - so good !This is where our son and daughter -in-law had their first date - now many years ago. Romantic , beautifully decorated , excellent service .

I went with family last evening to enjoy drinks as we celebrated my 40th birthday. The veranda is beautiful and is a perfect setting. Unfortunately, the lack of care from our server impacted our experience. We waited 20 minutes before our server came to our table. We could see the hostess point us out to our server as we had been waiting a while, at which point she looked our direction and walked away. When she did arrive she did not welcome or greet us, she coldly asked what she could get for us and quickly walked away. We had planned to stay longer and order more but no one in our party felt it was a good idea to stay at a place in which we weren’t feeling welcome. Overall, the lack of care or courtesy overshadowed the pretty location.

It's an old Nola institution for a reason-- service is impeccable, gorgeous inside-- and more recently, excellent cocktails and innovative twists on food. Bravo.

Having a drink on the patio I was transported to a time that Gone With The Wind portrayed. The atmosphere, service and style wooed me.The drinks were tasty and the feel was mesmerizing. Then when you are inside, there's a feel of an underground speakeasy camouflaged as a Catholic Church, confessional and all.You need to visit, have a drink and once you do, you will be swept away with the spirit of the Big Easy.

The aesthetics of the place are amazing. The French toast is incredible. I had no negative experience with the food and service. It would be great if breakfast was included in the morning food options before brunch, such as grits and eggs or shrimp and grits.

So beautiful terrace and funky bar in an incredible ancestral home!

Seth with a mullet deserves a raise! Excellent service, fabulous cocktails and the small plates were great. But the service and ambiance is what makes The Columns standout. What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon!

Ca ce'st Bon!!! Yes it is and more. This place is more than a five star. Former Mansion with LOTS of history. A hotel, Restaurant, bar, venue space. Absolutely fabulous. A must stop to have a drink. I plan on returning for meal stay; truly. It's a mesmerizing place.

Wow. Just. Wow. Other than the ambiance , which I don't have the words for just yet, the service is impeccable. Fabulous cocktails, small menu but everything on it is exceptional. Which is and should be typical Of a menu this size, but not always.

I built the bar in the Columns Winter of 80-81'The very first drinks on the bar were my Birthday in Oct. of 80' Kim is sitting in the dining room where the bar was first started, before I found the ceiling and turned that china cabinet 'back bar' around from the 'Albertson's Tea Room, to the original dining room. And I'm stand at the bar at the family xmas opening with Lisa Creppel. Xmas 80'.I did a book, but it isn't published, it has all the dirt. And I havea all the pictures from the beginning. It's too bad what the new owner did to it. He should have reached out. The building still holds secrets only I know about. I laid all those bricks on the side, built the arch and put the side door where a window used to be. Those doors aren't fun to hang. The 2 front doors were what I did before the bar. That sotry is for another time and place.

Columns. Wow, what an experience, it's like being transported back to the 1880's. Columns is a 19-room boutique hotel, with event space, a magnificent mahogany bar, a coffee bar, and a very good kitchen. Riding the St Charles trolly line, you see the impressive building, and the Garden and Patio are so inviting. I highly recommend making time to sit and absorb the Columns' upscale atmosphere, while enjoying an adult beverage. I understand the cocktails are outstanding. Today, the table had French Toast ($17), Chicken Schnitzel ($17), a Columns Burger ($16), and French Quiche ($14). Everything was quite good. Service was fast and friendly (Thank You, Andromeda!). We washed brunch down with Campari Spritzs ($11), Aperol Spritzs ($10), and spicy Bloody Marys ($14) from the bar - all while savoring the beautiful Columns' setting. Believe me, you do not want to rush this experience. Five Stars.
