Good venue with a nice staff and good sound mix
It's one of my favorite venues in New Orleans.
The Open Mic from Hell is nothing shout of the most hilarious 2 hours I’ve ever been a part of!! I highly recommend!!
Quirky and fun!
Great staff, amazing selection of entertainment. Always a fun time!
My girlfriend and I came here during our first-ever visit to New Orleans in October 2024 to see the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. At the time, the actual Preservation Hall was still closed for remodeling, so the show was moved to the Toulouse Theatre.
That was no problem though - we still very much enjoyed our experience with this theatre, which was a very cool spot, and the show was EXCELLENT. I used to watch them when they played at the Electric Forest music festival, so it was really cool to see them play in their hometown! Even got to talk to them for a bit after the show, and everyone was very nice.
I'd come back and see another show here!
Lovely intimate theater
Incredible vibe,amazing experience! It's a must go
The new home to the Preservation Hall Jazz band.
It's just a money making venture, seems like a tourist trap. The band comes on and plays about 5 songs in 40 mins. The keep asking for tips though the tickets aren't cheap. The audio was not good.
I would suggest skipping the Preservation Hall Band and just going on the Steamboat Nanchez and seeing the jazz band on that boat. They were really good and entertaining
Very cool experience enjoying the Preservation Hall Jazz band here! Very efficient entry system, friendly staff, every spot has a great view!

This theater has a great atmosphere, good vibes for live music, and the people are very friendly! They also have really good merchandise and drinks!
Beautiful, historic place, great musicians, brilliant concert! Unfortunately, some guests were talking loudly instead of listening to the music, if you are not interested in good live jazz music, just go somewhere else to drink drinks. This is a place with soul, there is real art here, respect the artists and those who came to listen to a good concert. Definitely, it's the best jazz concert I've ever been to. I highly recommend it!
Great music
A wonderful evening of Jazz! Very enjoyable and conveniently located at the Toulouse Theatre in the French Quarter. Slim bar options, but we were there for the music. First floor seating recommended! Reservations required.
Only 45 minutes of show. But at least local music! Touristy but still worth it!
No need to pay expensive seats to be in front.
We arrived 5 minutes late, paid early tickets and finally got seats!
