Toups Meatery Reviews
One of the best meals I’ve had in New Orleans was at Toups! We had a charcuterie board with their house made hogs head cheese, chicken liver mousse and foie gras accompanied by house pickles. Simply incredible!! The hogs head cheese was the best I’ve ever had! I especially loved the chunkiness of it with nice pieces of tender pork! The crispy turkey necks! Oh my goodness… AMAZING! The braised lamb neck entree was exquisite with a generous portion and crispy spaetzle!...read full review
The hands of God himself made this food!!! 11000/10
They do not serve true Cajun food. The food is stereo typical of all new small restaurants where they use Cayenne pepper to substitute for flavor which is not there. Only go there if you are a fan of having your mouth on fire. The cornbread is hard, dry and crumbly and too sweet. Good cornbread should be slightly moist and soft. I will not give them another chance.

Toups Meatery offers a memorable dining experience with exceptional dishes. Standout meals include chicken thighs, crab salad, smoked duck, bone marrow special, venison loin, and a delightful chocolate peanut butter cake. Guests can enjoy a variety of meats such as lamb neck, which is described as huge and decadent, roasted duck, and seafood with fat crab rice, along with dishes like dirty rice and the sausage of the day. The restaurant also accommodates food allergies and features an outstanding wagyu burger. The food is traditionally New Orleans cuisine, elevated to another level, with American portions that satisfy hearty appetites. The service is great, and the atmosphere is family-friendly, with many families dining together. The chef and owner, Issac Toups, shows his love for his city, family, and heritage in every bite. The restaurant's staff is known to be friendly and personable, creating a super chill and cool atmosphere. This restaurant is a must-visit in New Orleans for both locals and tourists alike, where everyone seems excited to enjoy the delicious food.
