I bought a 8.4oz and a black and mild and was charged $5.51. Just across the street at the Dollar general I could get the same thing for $3. They are severely overcharging. The guy checking my out was also rude. I’ve been here plenty of times and have better experiences. Food is decent. I wouldn’t go here for things like drinks and tobacco though.

We recently moved from the Lower Garden District to Bywater, are exploring nearby take-out options, and decided to give True Cajun Seafood at try, in hopes of getting banh mi as promoted on their signage. The owner, Mr. Billy, explained that his mother-in-law used to make them but she's since retired. So we decided to get fried shrimp po-boys which did not disappoint. Plus we hear that they do a booming breakfast business.Admittedly, the storefront is not all that inviting, but inside you'll find a friendly husband and wife team who have owned the store since 1991.They don't stock many sundries, but you'll find plenty of snack foods and just about anything you want to drink. Plus they sell lottery tickets.See my snapshots for menus.

Don't trip, get the hot sausage egg and cheese and start your day right. It's a must. And be nice to them people.
I use to like this place me and my husband went there the other day we don't live in the area anymore so we stopped by to get a hot sausage sandwich and a couple bags of chips and they were not fresh and I went and returned them because we were still waiting on our ? the guy who work the cashier had a very bad attitude will not be returning there anymore
My breakfast was delicious
Best and most affordable food in quarter. It's a Buffett. Good for me! Shrimp poboys too!
They can be rude sometimes. Especially the man. I think it's highway robbery they can get away with selling stamps for a dollar each. That's not how much a stamp truly costs.
