So I went there and there weren’t much people, the wait for the food was a bit long for a pizza and a burger. The pizza flavor wise was good, but the dough was almost not cooked in some areas, as if the oven wasn’t hot on one side, making the dough chewy with no crispiness… The burger was a mess, I order it with the kale salad, the salad was all dressing/vinaigrette, and someone decided to throw breadcrumbs on it as if it was fancy… so there was a big splotch of it getting soggy from the dressing. The burger itself was not well constructed, the bread wasn’t really special and was soggy underneath from the salad dressing as well, they drenched it in a sort of pink sauce that was not really good, but it masked how dry the burger was, and salty… I had more hopes for the place, and the pizza flavors and their vegan ricotta cheese for it was delicious, but it doesn’t compensate for the price of the items when things are done without care
We had a wonderful experience! We loved the charred cauliflower and the burgers. Our waiter was so sweet and did the best job. We definitely wanna come back!
The food options are usually good. But recently it's been a little hit or miss. They're also out of a lot of items early on in the dinner service.
This is a great, healthy option in a city without many! It serves alcohol but also has a great zero proof menu. Great for vegetarians and vegans, too. It definitely has more of a chain vibe than most places in town though.
The food was super tasty, service was friendly. I had the teriyaki quinoa bowl with tofu and enjoyed every bite of it. I felt good about my meal - not deep fried or heavy but very tasty and filling. The chef(s) were on last night and the staff was friendly and helpful. It’s great to have a dining option that has high quality healthy options.
Had a great time here. The food was fresh and delicious as always. Easy to get accommodations for gluten or dairy free items. I had Avi as my server and she was very attentive and even remembered me from the last time I was here.
This place is ittttttt. Entire staff is so kind and fun to talk to. My boyfriend and I came here three or four times in one week while we were visiting. I am vegan and gf and they took care of me every time and were so helpful which is sometimes really hard to find when dining out! The horchata matcha is next level and we literally waited outside until open to get it lol. We had one oopsie with dessert but they handled it with so much grace and kindness, which was so appreciated. 100/10 we will be back. The staff here are genuinely all such lovely people I can’t say it loud enough.
Great service. Clean nutrtious food. Outstanding cleanliness throughout.
Jadore our was so accommodating of my allergies. Even a coconut vegan ice cream for my affogato.
They seemed to be out of a few things and there was some confusion about the food and drinks. The food was good and our waiter was super. He kept us happy regardless of things that were out of his control.
Our server, Teddy, was excellent, however, the meal preparation takes longer than it should.

Normally, True Food Kitchen is my absolute favorite place to eat, and I tell everyone about it. But our attempt to enjoy dinner there on 5/5 was thwarted by the fact that we were never given the opportunity to order entrees, despite the fact that four of us were sitted at a table for an hour. In the staff's defense, it seemed there was only one server on duty. But it would have been nice to be told this and given the option to stay or leave. It took a long time to get two of the four drinks we ordered, only to be told that the other two weren't available. We ordered the guacomole special as soon as we were sitted, but never got it. We did receive one other appetizer (charred brussel sprouts), which was delicious. But the waitress, as sweet as she was, never came back to the table to take our order. After we saw her busing a table next to us, even as we sat still with menus on our table, we asked for the check. We had been there over 50 minutes at that point. So we paid our $70 for three cocktails, one beverage and one appertizer, and went down the street to another restaurant for a proper meal and proper service. Highly disappointing. No apology. No acknowledgement that we had been forgotten. June 25, 2025 update - I'd like to update these remarks to note that we returned to the restaurant June 21 for dinner, and the experience was great. We enjoyed it as much as we have over the years. Teddy took exceptional care of us, and the food was good (the caulifower app was great; we also had vegan veggie burgers and the choc chip cookie ala mode dessert). So glad to know things are back on track at the restaurant.
Food lacked flavour and unsure how much was actually fresh. I wouldn’t waste your time personally. We had the teriyaki quinoa bowl and Korean noodle bowl and added tofu. Nothing special. Updated from previous review on 2025-04-14
Ambiance is good. Well-lit, colorful restaurant. Lasagna was served cold. We requested no sauce on sandwich but it was served with sauce. The restaurant was not busy at all on a Saturday night.
An interesting restaurant with a unique menu. Prices are reasonable including wine. The pizza and meatloaf were good. However, We were disappointed that six items including three entrees were not available.
Great gluten free food!! Wish there was one in NYC. I have celiac and haven't been happier eating out in a long time. We ate at ur restaurant while down in NOLA for a long weekend 3 times!!
