Wow! Tuesday happy hour is an absolutely incredible deal. We had a cocktail and two sushi rolls for $21. But no matter what you pay the food is worth the money. The Rajin’ Cajin’ alligator roll is fantastic.

I did not like the food. And my wife's mojito did not have alcohol.

They opened at 5 and just 2 hour later were closed. That says a lot!

I ordered a mojito, because it only had a tiny mint leaf so I asked for more, and they gave me a full cup for me to improve my drink. The food did not taste good either, so I left my plate full and left the place.

The food was very salty.
The mojito tasted like lemonade.
They opened at 5, and at 6:30 they were closed.

I typically don’t leave bad reviews, but we received extremely slow service on some very basic sushi orders when the restaurant was near empty on a monday night. Then, we saw a mouse running across the floor with no reaction from staff. At some places I can understand that mice are a reality, but when I pay $100 for a meal, I don’t expect to wonder if a mouse has defecated on something being served to me. No chance that I would return here unless I’m sure that this has been fixed. Truly upsetting because their calamari was actually pretty good.

Food was average, but definitely better than service. They urgently need to hire more and better trained staff to take care of their customers. It took me forever to get service, to get a drink to order, to get my food, to get my check...service was just awful

i ordered from tsunami thru grubhub many times and the past two times the food they have given me is a literal health hazard!! i get the roll/nigiri combo and the nigiri was slimy to the touch and the two that weren’t slimy i ate and had to spit out bc of how tough and chewy it was. they had a strong fishy smell and as someone who eats sushi 3 times a week it’s obvious the sushi had gone bad. this has happened the past 2 times i’ve ordered from tsunami months apart.

Incredible. Amazing. Absolutely Pleasing.
I can't wait to return. I already posted my visit with pictures. It popped to give an opportunity to post promote, so??? Why not. It was and incredible evening and our server (Sabrina) only made the experience that much greater. Didn't try it as I didn't discover it until the end of our meal, but there is a drink named after Sabrina.
Anyway it was very very good.

I just noticed another commentor stated that the party she was with when they dined there loved everything but seeing a rat scurry across the floor ruined it all and felt they should have not been charged anything. That is laughable. So, your in New Orleans. The Mississippi is just a few blocks away. There are enough rats in places you would not even think of in New Orleans. I've been at Parties in The Aquarium of America and seen so many rats it would have been impossible to count them, even for AI.
THE RATS can gross people out, but here is the thing, the rats there are intelligent. They can entertain you.
We've watched one tap dance, another literally dress itself. Run off pigeons, which we felt was a blessing. The rats do get into the food.

We were really impressed with the portion sizes of the different sushi rolls and actually had leftovers. The prices are very reasonable for a sushi place as well as for downtown New Orleans.
I was able to eat gf and df and they were very accommodating and cooked it to my liking. The salmon was delicious.

THEY HAVE RATS! Tsunami Sushi served some genuinely good food — the sushi was fresh and the flavors were solid. Unfortunately, a major cleanliness issue completely overshadowed the experience—RATS!

As we were getting our drinks to start the meal, we saw something dart across the floor. At first, we weren’t sure if it was what we thought it was — we’d been drinking a bit, and honestly, it’s not every day you see a rat scurrying across a restaurant. We brushed it off, hoping we were mistaken. Unfortunately, we weren’t. Toward the end of the meal, we saw the rat again — this time clearly — and decided to cut the meal short. We mentioned it to our server, who didn’t seem surprised or bothered, which signaled to us that this may be a known issue.

Considering the situation, offering a refund or even a partial refund would’ve been appropriate — but nothing was offered. That was disappointing on top of an already unacceptable experience. A rat running across the floor made the entire meal uncomfortable and concerning. We should’ve been refunded.

The food itself was good, but the presence of rodents and how casually it was handled makes it hard to recommend or return. !!!!!Cleanliness and safety should be a baseline, not an afterthought!!!!!
