Prices are steep. If you regularly have sushi, you will probably have had better sushi for less. Sure, it's in the tourist district, I guess? They also charge you for paying credit card. You telling me you don't make enough from the dishes to even cover the cost of the payment, so you pass it onto the customer? Lol, even the convenience store down the street doesn't charge card fees.

It was 930pm and my friends were frantically looking for good restaurants near our hotel because my knee was hurting and I probably couldn't walk too much due to it. Luckily they located Tsunami sushi which was about a block away but we had to hustle because they were closing.in about an hour and twenty. After a quick dash we got there around 10p and quickly scanned the menu. An order of edamame was put in and it was the perfect blend of sriracha sauce with other things to give a heck of a bite. I got the Japanese Magnolia drink which is a mix of sake and plum wine cocktail ($9) which was so tasty. Went with three rolls which included a J. Breaux that comes with crawfish ($8), one with seabass ($10) and one named lava ($10). Each roll was a hit in flavors and I was exploded since two were more compact in size but it didn't mean I left hungry. Our server was good at quickly fulfilling our orders and we closed down the place by 11pm.

Wow. Coming from a land locked state I take every chance I can to eat sushi when I visit New Orleans and this place is by far the best I’ve ever had in this city. As a lifetime sushi fanatic I was so excited for the Rajun Cajun aligator roll and it did not disappoint!! My other favorite was the Escolar nigiri that was so heavenly I’ll be dreaming about it til the next time I visit NOLA.I went there for Tuesday happy hour where I had to finish my work day from a table for one and I was so satisfied with the peaceful ambience and green tea which made filing contracts and invoices a blissful experience between sushi bites. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in New Orleans and try more of their menu!!!

Call ahead to make sure they haven’t rented out sections of the restaurant. It can be very difficult to get a seat when they have corporate events and the entire bar is reserved. They’ll even kick you off of the sushi bar for reservations after you’ve already been seated, which is unheard of. The bar should be first come first serve. They outright lied to their customers. Tsunami said they would keep track of the customer rewards program while they fixed the system but that was an outright lie. Way to care for your regulars.Prices have gone up continuously since they opened and their food isn’t worth it anymore. $5 for a single piece of salmon roe is absolutely insane. I work across the street and I’m done giving this place my business, I would rather walk a few blocks to Geisha.
