This is a fun and lively place. We had the pork chop, veal cutlet and fried green tomatoes. All were very dry and over cooked. We were underwhelmed with the food. Much better restaurants in town than this place.

Had a terrific meal at Tujagues for an anniversary party. Food was excellent. Gumbo and the bread pudding dessert really stood out. Our server Marteen was awesome. Fun, kind, efficient, just the best. Definitely a great venue for a special event.

We stopped in for grasshopers; they exceeded expectations. The male bartender with exquisite hair was great.

This was just a random spot we visited because we were out of ideas for places to eat and it was a surprise hit. Apart from the wait (which was understandable considering the size of the parties) the food was fantastic (we had the blackened angus steak), my gin and tonic was a little watered down, but the wine was good and the atmosphere and history was fascinating.

What sealed it however was the waitstaff. Very attentive. When meals were delayed our server was very prompt, honest, and appeased our hunger with extra bread and recommended a salad to tide us over (get the house salad, it is terrific). Fantastic service. I hope I spell his name correct; Haji or Hadji, you were terrific!

Old-school Creole charm. The interior feels like stepping back in time. I tried their shrimp remoulade and a classic étouffée — both tasted straight from tradition. Service a bit slow at peak hours, but staff is friendly and knows the menu. Good place to soak up local flavor without all the tourist traps.

Was a good experience. The waiters left us a little to alone, but we weren’t in a rush.

Food was good but staffing seemed to be a problem that night. No one greeting when you came in, long gaps in service and food. Never felt valued as customer.

We did the Table d'Hôte with wine pairings. I was disappointed with the wine. The food was decent and I enjoyed the gulf fish entree . I loved the history. A cool place to visit.

Great experience and hilarious waiter!

My standing brunch spot once again did not disappoint! I brought in some relatives who were visiting New Orleans for the first time. They said they wanted some real Creole food so off to my neighborhood gem we went! Service was always impeccable and the food excellent!

It's just not what it used to be. It was clear the waiter was ready to go home and didn't really care about our experience. I miss the old place and the food this is not the same anything anymore

Our favorite meal we had while in New Orleans. Wait staff is so nice and professional. Food is amazing. We both had the gulf fish and it is so yummy! My husband had an old fashioned and I had the gin drink with pea flower liquor and champagne in it. The old fashioned has creme de cacao in it. So good!
