Collard Greens Melt is fantastic. Will definitely come back and order it again
Get the collared green melt!! Best food we have eaten in New Orleans! Great prices and quick, honestly can’t beat it!
This place had such a mom & pop vibe! The best fried bologna sandwich I've ever had. French fries were hot and fresh as well. Highly recommended this place and it's worth the wait in line.

A wonderful sandwich shop in a cozy dining area with very unique / retro feel. Their unique sandwich combinations were delicious.

I came here on a Sunday morning in August and I really didn't know what to expect. Luckily, I got here just after opening so there was no wait out in that heat. Everything on the menu seemed hearty so I resigned myself to dieting tomorrow and planned to take a nap after eating. I got the hog headcheese taco for a starter which no one wanted to try, so I had to eat all of that. It was messy but very hog head cheesy. Then, I completely changed my order at the last minute once I saw the big, fat tomato BLT on special. Words can't describe, see my pic. I like what they're doing here for food. This place truly is different but Southern. The one thing I wouldn't order again was the collard green melt. I don't think collard greens have strong enough flavor on their own to balance out the melty part. It just tasted like cheese. All in all, it was a great meal to have right after you get up and want to go to sleep again. Not sure I'd run a marathon or anything right after.
Parking: I parked up the street a way. There's a school near by so during the day I'm not sure there's ample parking.
Kid-friendliness: Your kids are fine if they like to eat big food.

What a great little restaurant! Really enjoyed my recent lunch here
Food: very good. I like that it's a short menu with interesting options. Started with the chicken pot pie bake, then had the fried bologna sandwich with fries on the side. All tasted good!
Service: everyone was friendly
Atmosphere: very cool retro!
Get there a little early, as the line gets long.
Highly recommend if you're looking for a unique lunch experience

I had the Collared Green Melt and my sister had the Mama Tried Burger, fries, a margarita and a PBR. Them collared greens & coleslaw set each other off so well it melted in my mouth! It was so delicious I ate the food and immediately wanted more. This is definitely worth going out of your way for this place.

Fried bologna sandwich goes hard, super tasty. Love that they’ve got some nice refreshing cocktail choices on the menu to escape the heat. They keep the energy fun with a lovely atmosphere, fun staff, and vintage McDonalds plates. Can’t wait for another sandwich here whenever my life may take me back.

Husband and I split the cheeseburger, ham & cranberry sandwich, and fries. Absolutely outstanding!! Literally still thinking about them. Came around 2pm and didn’t have to wait. Would totally come back.

I hate coleslaw but I loved the Collard Green Melt which is half coleslaw. That's how good it is. One sip of the frozen marg slapped me in the face but that is definitely not a bad thing ?

We were disappointed to find this food to be a gimmick. We tried the bologna sandwich (we’re from the ozarks so bologna is quite familiar to us lol). The ingredients sounded so weird we thought, “it must actually work” but it really, really didn’t, unfortunately. Two thin slices of bologna on 4 inches of Texas toast and about 1/4 cup of mustard. Fun spirit and a line out the door, but there’s a lot of authentically good, true NOLA food to be had elsewhere.
