We stop by for lunch and it was packed. They only had 1 casher/ bartender and she did a great job. Food was really good

The ribs were the best thing we tried. They were not “fall off the bone” but they were flavorful.Did not care for the cheddar biscuits, did not have flavor and was dense, the pulled pork was a mix of some pieces being soft and others almost caramelized and chewy like beef jerky. The rib tips seemed salty and dry. The Mac and cheese was very bland, but I got through it by adding bbq sauce. The bartender was nice and friendly. We did not have to wait too long for the food. The mayo bottles sit out with the condiments all day long- eek! Tables were all sticky. I get it’s a dive bar vibe but I would think food safety code would be maintained.

Service was awesome. The Mango Cart is delicious! Food is very good traditional BBQ, gotta check it out.

Some of the best bbq I’ve had in a very long time. Easily the best spot in New Orleans.

Had smoked wings and the All American burger...one of the best burgers ever and cooked "medium" perfectly. Also a great atmosphere with some classic arcade games and pool tables.

We went there for dinner last night. The only positive I have is this. The beer was cold and the staff was friendly. I would not eat there again. I had the burnt ends, fries and ribs. The beef was dry as you could get. The ribs were slightly saved by the sauce, but the sides (fries and Mac n cheese were stone cold. I found it odd that the fries were cold as we had one person in our group order fries for an appetizer and they were fresh. The other 3 people in our party had the same experience as I concerning their dinner. The icing on the cake was the mouse that we spotted running around the room. I usually don’t leave reviews, but in this case I felt compelled to do so. I’d recommend the beer, beyond that, I would not eat there.

ABSOLUTELY the worst BBQ in the city. Mac and cheese tasted like it was from a box. Red beans were cold, watery, bland AND had unwanted hair mixed in. Burnt ends were tasteless, hard and cold. Sausage was tasteless. The bbq sauce at the table tasted like they mixed ketchup in to refill the bottles at night. The cheddar biscuit literally turned to dust in your mouth. Years ago this place was the go to place for lunch and was packed everyday. What a sad turn of events for a New Orleans land mark. What kind of place in New Orleans messes up red beans. 😒

REVIEW FOR UGLY DOG SALOON AND BBQ Very Disappointing Experience – Do Not Recommend We had high hopes for Ugly Dog Saloon and BBQ based on their reputation, but after our recent experience, I feel compelled to share my frustration. We ordered lunch for 35 people for a university event, and the delivery was confirmed multiple times leading up to the day. Unfortunately, the caterer did not show up as scheduled. Despite several attempts to reach the restaurant – 12 calls and two voicemails left for the manager – we received no communication about the delay or any issues. Even more concerning, EZ Cater, the platform we used to place the order, also tried multiple times to get in touch with Ugly Dog Saloon, only to be hung up on. This level of unprofessionalism is absolutely unacceptable. Not only did the team fail to fulfill a confirmed order, but they also didn’t bother to inform us about any problems or delays. Our event was seriously disrupted, and it’s hard to express how disappointing this experience was. If you’re looking for reliable service and accountability, I would strongly advise against using Ugly Dog Saloon and BBQ for catering. Their lack of communication and disregard for customer service shows a complete lack of professionalism.

Parking: Limited parking next to the restaurant get here early for best spots otherwise u gotta find somewhere else to park and hope it's close by

HORRIBLE! Overpriced. Bland. Cold. This food is mass produced microwaved then served. Do not spend your money here. 76 dollars for what’s in the picture. No alcohol, one cup of iced tea and cup of water. Don’t go here.
