Out of towner here tried to order online tech issue occur - order wouldn't go through-Arrived and asked if I could place an order to go-nope -asked if I could order while standing here -nope -you have to do it before10 a.m.(UMP didn't know that)-had to wait to be seated-placed an order then paid and asked for container to go. WOW!!!!! We have been to dozens of restaurants across New Orleans and this place has by far some of the most consistent service and food. The catfish and grits were incredible and the service was a rare sight. Everyone was so nice. I would come here once a week. 10/10

Absolutely amazing! From the moment I called to confirm wheelchair accessibility to the very last bite, everything was superb. The staff was professional, friendly, and attentive, and the food was beautifully prepared. My catfish and grits were outstanding, and the spicy virgin Bloody Mary was just perfect. The ambiance was inviting, the service top-notch, and the food came out quickly. I also appreciated the accessible elevator on the side—it was both convenient and accommodating. Anytime I’m in New Orleans, this will be one of my favorites and an absolute must-visit!
First time visiting this restaurant and it will not be the last. We only went for breakfast (no drinks) and we were not disappointed.

My husband and I came here on our first day visiting New Orleans. The vibes were amazing. They played 90s- 00's R&b including some deep cuts. Our waitress was nice and attentive. We ordered the firecracker shrimp and the fish and grits, which was seasoned to perfection. If you're in the area, check this place out!

We were really looking forward to trying Up & Adaam, but unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. We were a party of two, seated and waiting patiently, when a party of six entered through the side door and was served before us. To make matters worse, they received the same appetizer we ordered but for free and much faster. My meal also came with cold rice. When the manager eventually noticed, they did bring out hot rice, but by then I had already finished eating. We had also asked for hot water because our utensils were dirty, but that took a while too — by which point our food had already gone cold. Another thing diners should be aware of: gratuity is automatically added to the bill, though you do have the option to adjust it. I regret tipping 15%, given the level of service we received. I left feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. The food itself was good, which only made the poor service more disappointing. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously and improves the consistency and fairness in how all guests are treated.
