The gumbo and rice were good. The chicken was decent but nothing you couldn't at a backyard bbq. The ribs tasted like they were baked then thrown on the grill for smoke flavor. I'm not sure if its just the region I live and my standard for bbq, but they were unacceptable.
Would be considerate to update their hours while all this going on doesn't close at 10 as stated on their Google listing. Kind of irresponsible of leadership. Wasting my time driving up there to a closed restuarant
I've either driven past or ridden past this place on the streetcar many times and have always wanted to stop. I am glad I finally did. I'm from Texas and take my BBQ very seriously, but this place didn't disappoint. So much flavor! I definitely enjoyed the Louisiana influence in the way the meats were smoked. Beers were cold. Staff was friendly. Can't wait to come back!
Thank you for the Shout Out!! Hope you have been back since!
Stopped in for lunch one day and got the Chopped Brisket Sandwich with Red Beans & Rice. It was amazing and I’ll definitely be a returning customer as there are several other things on the menu I want to try.
First time in NOLA, & really wanted some good bbq. GREAT prices, GREAT food, and awesome staff. You will not be disappointed with the pulled pork!! Must try!
The food here is great. Had brisket, pulled pork and chicken. All were awesome. Everything was great.
Fast and delicious food, friendly service. Prices are a little lower than the average in my opinion. Additionally there are each day specials with reduced prices (e.g. wingsday, 75 Cent/wing). The bathrooms weren’t that clean unlike the kitchen!
Went there on a quiet Monday night. The beef was ok, not the tenderest ever but alright. The chicken was dry. The sides were all good and the corn bread nice. Great value, expect to have good food but not a great experience.
One of the best finds considering food is sooo expensive in the Quarter. On Tuesdays they have $2 pulled pork sandwiches. These are not sliders, they are piled with the most tender pork you can imagine. I actually ate there then bought 10 to go.

Can not remember what this is, but it was delish!!!
Quick service. Good selection of taps for such a small place. Best corn muffin I've ever had.
People were very nice. Food was very flavorful. To be fair, though, I can't do spicy.
This place has potential. Great location, charming decor, and good menu. It quite doesn't live up to the "Greatest BBQ", which is a big claim to begin with. I thought my sliced BBQ brisquet was more "pulled" type and mushy and the portion very small. The buns reminded me of the ones the early hamburger joints had when they sold 99 cent burgers.
Very good experience.I ordered the pork platter with 2 sides.Porkbwas tender, not dry or fatty.Very fresh tasting. My side was the corn pudding..oh my so yummy. The sweet potato souffle was not over sweet and having some crust to it made it the best I've had.
