DO NOT EAT AT THIS LOCATION. The bacon was undercooked, the food was ill prepared and grits very old with pieces of other food droppings in them. This place is horrible. There’s no reason for food to be prepared this way first thing in the morning.

I don’t know who was working the afternoon shift, but they clearly do not care about the quality of food they send out. I received my DoorDash order and my waffle was an absolute mess half-cooked, still runny and gooey inside, and burnt on the outside. It was honestly disgusting and showed a complete lack of effort or attention. If this is the kind of food that’s being served when management isn’t around, that’s a huge problem. It’s not hard to cook a waffle properly, and I shouldn’t have to waste my money just to throw my food away. This kind of carelessness makes people not want to order from here again.

We found that the Waffle House on Read Boulevard in New Orleans is a really friendly spot with a great atmosphere. They serve breakfast all day and also have lunch and dinner items available as well. My steak sandwich was great and they let substitute grits for the normal hash browns. Our server was super nice and attentive. We will definitely eat here again.

I ordered grits, scrambled eggs, toast, waffles and bacon. The grits was cold. The server went to warm the grits; when she came back the grits still wasn't hot and the the eggs was cold. I didn't enjoy my breakfast at all!!

After 10 days traveling in the Caribbean this was exactly the first bite of Americana that the family needed 😂 The staff was really sweet and helpful. Waffles were on point.

The waitress was really nice, and MOST of the food was decent. However, I wouldn't recommend going to a waffle place to order a steak, lol. My daughter ordered the steak, and it was terrible. Also, the entire staff was smoking weed in the parking lot when we got there. The smell was so strong, and we had to walk strait through A LOT of smoke to get in the door- which my daughter HATES. BUT.....The place was completely empty of customers before us, and for who knows how long since it was pretty late at night/early in the morning when we went. They all stopped smoking to follow us in, and immediately greeted us with service. I also noticed that none of them washed their hands upon returning to the kitchen, but the cook did atleast put on gloves before dropping our food. 🤣 🤷♀️(what can I say, I try to look on the bright side of things.) After all, we are ALL just human beings... right?

Beware, waffles good, but both our orders of eggs (sunnyside up and over-easy) were raw with about a teaspoon of uncooked liquid egg remaining on the plates, which we had to drain onto another dish. A definite Salmonella hazard. Guys, not everyone likes scrambled. Metairie location had perfect eggs, go there...
