Food was awesome !! One of the best foods we had in New Orleans. Although service was horrible, we sat around with no drinks for the first 30 min, and sat around with no drinks “waiting “ for our check for 30 min as well. While our waiter helped 2 other tables that got to the restaurant after us. Just be warned they are slow and busy! But worth it for the fried chicken. Corn bread however was dry.

I am a bit late to reviewing my incredible experience at Willie Mae's! We had the best server, Jarvis, and Tyler was super wonderful at the front with my group of friends. We thought we had made a reservation for the day we came in but sadly we had booked for the next day. No worries though! Tyler helped us get a table as soon as possible and was super sweet about it all. We had some drinks at the bar and apps and then boom, at our own table within 20 minutes.

Jarvis was working hard for our big group and trying to get everything out to us as quickly as possible while keeping lovely conversation and funny banter with us. It felt like we were at our friend's house for dinner. My friends were only in town for 5 days and they said Willie Mae's and that evening was the highlight of their visit! Thank you immensely to Jarvis and Tyler for making a beautiful night for us! Sorry I am so late to giving you guys your flowers! You are so awesome! Definitely taking everyone who visits me to your restaurant every time! So much love!

Oh! And the food was ridiculously delicious! But I feel like people should already know that by now! 10/10 across the board!

This restaurant has the best fried chicken I ever eaten in my life. Our waiter Zo was so great and very friendly and he also recommended the best sides from the menu. Definitely I would come back.

Heard so much about this place before visiting New Orleans. The food was really good. We tried fried chicken and the crawfish etouffee. Service was good and the place had a nice vibe. It gets busy at lunchtime.

We started off with the gumbo which was pretty good! It was not as thick as the other one’s we had on the trip, but flavor-wise was one of our favorites.

We then ordered the 1/4 fried chicken each, which comes with cornbread and one side. The mac and cheese was fine. Not as saucy as we like and the flavor was nothing mind-blowing. The potato salad was divine: creamy but also had chunks of potato and hard boiled egg, and so flavorful. Cornbread was also good!

The fried chicken was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The skin was extremely crunchy and the meat very juicy.

When we got the text that our table was ready the hostess told us we only had an hour, hour and fifteen minutes max, to eat. We thought that was a little weird and felt a bit rushed to order but the food came out pretty quickly. The waitress was also super nice. Overall: must visit!

This place was exactly what I was looking for out of NOLA, upbeat, inviting, southern and delicious. I went for Sunday brunch which was packed with people waiting, but dancing to the live DJ and ordering drinks at the bar made it fly by.
The fried chicken was incredibly moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. Mac and cheese was simple and delicious, just as it should be- no extra cheeses or bread crumbs, just delicious.

Modern decor restaurant. I actually find their fried chicken is just ok. Crispy outside and juicy inside but taste is quite simple. I tried crawfish etouffee which was really but - kinda salty though. Crawfish was very Fresh. Overall would visit again

Well it's not my idea fried chicken but someone must like it
This is more like a Cajun fried chicken and it really does have a zip to it. If you like hot you'll be real happy. If you don't like hot and you want normal fried chicken more like you've had for years this isn't the place. Staff was kind though and we had no issues otherwise.
