Delicious Gumbo that was worth every cent. Lively community feel with staff engaging with a queue of regulars who I make the presumption return time and time again..I had very polite service and great recommendations for a flavoursome and tasty meal. Definitely worth a pitstop for authentic local cuisine.

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS ESTABLISHMENT! The owner is rude and the prices for the amount you get is a rip off. When I ordered a meal from them, and paid over $30 for it, I asked if I could exchange for something else that’s worth the amount they charged me and the owner decided it was okay to curse me out for requesting to get my moneys worth of food. DO NOT DO IT! Especially if you’re visiting NOLA and don’t really know better.

This restaurant has horrible service. They are not willing to work with the customer and they use bad choice of words when trying to resolve a situation with a customer. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!

I got sick when I eat here last week but wasn’t sure it was from there food so I came back again and now I’m SURE it’s was there food!!! And they over charged me for my food on top of it.
Took over 45 minutes to receive 3 sandwiches. Employees were exceptionally rude. Sandwiches were dry, stale and cold. Would absolutely not recommend this place to anyone. So many options for good food in the French quarter. Don’t waste your time with this

I’m very concerned about the cleanliness of this restaurant. I witnessed the cooks eating in front of the counter and proceeding to touch kitchen utensils while blowing their noses. Disgusting. To add, the pot appeared unwashed. Everyone’s nonchalant attitude steered me away to eat at a different venue, Meals from the Heart Cafe, which was extraordinary.

If you want the real taste of Louisiana, you HAVE to stop by N’awlins Café & Spice in the French Market. As someone from Houma, just 45 minutes down the road, I grew up with authentic Cajun and Creole cooking and let me tell you, they are doing it right here!
I had the Cajun Dirty Rice, Red Beans and Rice, and the sausage and every single bite was bursting with rich, homemade flavor. You could taste the love and tradition in the food. The seasonings were spot on, nothing bland or watered down, just pure New Orleans goodness.
The staff was so kind and welcoming, making the experience even better. It’s the perfect spot to grab a plate of comfort food that feels like home.
Honestly, I’m not sure where any bad reviews came from, maybe tourists who don’t appreciate true Louisiana flavor. If you know what real Cajun and Creole food should taste like, you’ll love it here.
Hands down, one of the best meals I’ve had in the French Quarter. I’m already planning my next visit. If you’re craving real New Orleans food, this is the place!

We were running behind for a tour and needed something quick while at the French Quarter. Stopped here and saw the menu and was intrigued. DON'T be fooled by the menu selection or the World Famous attached to its name! That's what got us. Ordered the alligator po boy that came with Cajun potatoes and a few others got seafood pasta. Everything tasted like it had been warmed up from frozen. No seasoning, shrimp tasted like water, the Cajun potatoes were over cooked and bland. Disappointed all the way around. Didn't even feel like giving it back. Smothered it all in more seasoning and creole mustard just to get it down before leaving. Would not recommend!

This place doesn't deserve any stars. The worker was so busy looking at her phone, she didn't recognize us standing there for a minute.

Save your money!! Paid $11 for a ham & cheese po-boy and got this 😂..it did come with some very blank potatoes. Wait was long for this 🤦♀️They have a no refund sign up for a reason I suppose. As soon as they handed this to my husband and he brought it to our table they closed.

Place is absolute trash. Takes like 2 hours for sandwich. Staff just looks around clueless. Poboy was GARBAGE. Literally had like 2 crawfish on it per side.
The alligator in a stick was pretty darn good! Would definitely try that again. The service was not very great. Seemed to be bothering the people to place an order and get the food. Not very busy
Gator on a stick for $8 dollars on now a 2 inch piece of sausage! I feel very ripped off right now! This is the worst piece of crap i ever saw, and I will never go back even though I was a regular. This is a RIP OFF AND THEY HAD THE NERVE TO WANT A TIP AFTER THIS? It's a BITE OF SAUSAGE ONE BITE!

Upside down oysters not what I expected. More raw than sauteed. Disappointing. Expensive. Service very good.
