If you're nearby, especially at the Destrehan Plantation or on the way back to New Orleans from Whitney Plantation, you must stop by and visit Amanda to get a roast beef po'boy! She is so hospitable and the sandwich was just fantastic. She, along with her patrons, are a model for southern hospitality.
Stopped here while passing through on vacation. Amanda was amazing. She answered all our questions about the area. We choose this restaurant because the small poor-boys were a perfect size for our kids for lunch. We were really impressed with quality of the food. They had so many poor-boy options, the girls all found one they liked, and the roast beef was phenomenal. On the way to visit Destrehan Plantation & Houmas House we stopped for lunch here. What a hidden gem this is! It's a friendly country restaurant with well-priced good food. It's the 'real deal" for a southern Louisiana stop.
