Order was cooked to order. Fried chicken had just enough seasoning. Onion rings were cut thin and seasoned well. Husband had fried chicken livers. Said the were good also. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I have been going to Moma’s fried Chicken on Jake st. every day for a few months now on my lunch break.I really liked the food although I don’t do spicy foods.I always order the few thing where I don’t have to worry about the spice on the food, so I’d get the potato bowl with the fried chicken strip without seasoning on the chicken and I always ask them to warm the potatoes because if I don’t they are cold. The cashier say potato bowl with seasoning please. So I asked her to please let them know about the potatoes, she tells another worker the potatoes are already hot,so I said excuse me I always ask for my potatoes to get warmed because if I don’t they come out cold. Only then she walks to the back and let them know about the request for the potatoes to get warmed.I get my drink and walk to the other side where I hear three are four of the girls talking saying the potatoes always hot and that she should have not went tell them nothing. At this point I walk back to them and I said when the owner not here y’all be having all kinds of attitudes, one of them say oh no he is here!!! So I said ok well I’d like to talk to him please. Two of them went back there and His wife stuck her head out and then the two girls come back and said he is busy right now. Then His wife walks out staring at me like I stole something. Well at this point I’m feeling all kinds of disrespected, as they are all looking and laughing at me as I felt. So I decide I don’t want the food anymore if the service is this nasty. So I politely tell the same cashier that I’d like my money back and would not be eating there if the service will be this disrespectful. Low and behold the owners wife steps up and says “I think that would be best anyway and tells the workers to remember him and that he is getting his money back. I got my money got my free drink and went back to work and brought lunch meat and bread. Moral of the story is if they don’t treat you right, they don’t deserve your hard earned money. The lady in the purple is the wife

We are from Baton Rouge La., since it was such a pretty Saturday morning my husband and I decided to take a long country ride and enjoy the scenery. We stumble upon Mama' s Chicken and as soon as we walked in the door , we were greeted with warm, welcoming friendly faces. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious...a bit spicy but I think that's what made it so yummy!!! OH!!! and the Lemonade is AWESOME!!! We will be making the drive back!!!
