The workers here are so friendly, food is delicious and reasonably priced, and the food comes out so quick!
Katie who takes orders and works at the front is so sweet and upbeat. Love this place for their plate lunches, and they have such a big menu for anything and everything you could be craving. Highly recommend!

Just passing through Opelousas . Saw this place on Google map. Not what we expected for $14 a plate. Ordered a fish and shrimp combo .There is also another piece of fish missing and 2 shrimp with lots of fries . The portions were really small also ordered shrimp étouffée , field peas were dry. I will not consider going back.
Food is good, but my boyfriend found 2 pieces of medium length brownish black hair in his stuffed porkchop plate and I also found a short grey hair in mine... makes me wonder how sanitary everything is.

Nice little place to get a good homecooked meal (platelunch). Busy on Sundays but the move people through pretty quick and efficiently. The food is pretty good and well seasoned. Although they are moderately priced you do get an honest sized portion out of it. I recently had their roast beef and rice gravy lunch along and their bbq pork steak and rice dressing. Both were well cooked and hot and ready to go when we received them. Like everything else the price has gone up over the years but I can't blame them. I will be back. Their diner area (for eating in) is refreshed and tidy. Although not very large, it seems that there is always at least a few seats available as alot of people pick up and go.

Had lunch there. Wife got brisket plate lunch which had rice dressing, potato salad, and baked beans which was pretty good. I had roast beef poboy and waffle fries. Poboy was smaller than I hoped. In comparison the fries were just as much in portion as the poboy. It seemed like it was on the poboy bread from Evangeline Maid. The roast beef was pretty good though. Am going back again to try different food. Don't expect greatness but for the area pretty good.

We ordered the lunch pork hoop special. Two nice sized chops with brown gravy and rice. It was yummy. The shrimp poboy good too. It was newly renovated and clean. Great place to stop if you don’t want fast food.
