There aren’t many true Cajun restaurants left that don’t over tourist it. However this places sticks to the true roots! Recommend stopping by. No glitz and glamour, just good food

Can't argue that whatever you choose will be good. Always enjoyable service and people. I know it's been around for a long time but doesn't have to look like it. If I'm around I definitely will be stopping by but not really going to go out of the way.

The waitress was very nice, and the steak was delicious. However, all of the "cajun" food we ordered tasted like it was frozen and reheated. This included the gumbo, shrimp etouffee, and crawfish etouffee. The restaurant itself looked as though it had not been updated since the 1970s, and it wasn't super clean either. Also, several places on the menu had little asterisks telling you that the seafood "may be imported." For a nice restaurant not far from water, this shouldn't really be the case. Ultimately, for the price we paid, the food wasn't worth it.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND:We went on a Saturday evening and there was only one other customer. The chicken and sausage gumbo had hardly any meat. The manager sent a message to me through the waitress saying that exchanging for another bowl would have the same amount of meat. My fiancee ordered a steak and said it was mediocre. This WAS a good restaurant with good food, NOT ANYMORE.

Sid was a super waiter! Restaurant cute and clean. Fried foods over cooked and stuffing inside pepper and crab was dry. Salads and drinks were terrific.
First time visiting this establishment. While passing through my daughter and I stop in for lunch. There was parking available. The only negative comment I have was upon entering I notice an employee sitting outside with her apron in front smoking. The positive comment would be our waitress was nice and professional, she checked on us throughout our visit to see if we needed anything. We ordered two lunch specials ( fish / shrimp) our wait time was short. In my opinion the food wasn’t overly seasoned, my daughter felt it needed more season. If you like light seasoning on your food then this is a great place. If you’re heavy on seasoning bring your own. Presentation of our food was very appealing and the atmosphere had a home like environment.

Was in town for a training class and decided to stop in for dinner. Our server was fantastic, we had the Super Seafood Platter and a bowl of gumbo. Everything was great and the deep fried bell pepper was amazing. I would have liked to seen the breading have a little more seasoning but everything else made up for it. Very nice place to eat if in town.
