There aren’t many true Cajun restaurants left that don’t over tourist it. However this places sticks to the true roots! Recommend stopping by. No glitz and glamour, just good food
Can't argue that whatever you choose will be good. Always enjoyable service and people. I know it's been around for a long time but doesn't have to look like it. If I'm around I definitely will be stopping by but not really going to go out of the way.
The waitress was very nice, and the steak was delicious. However, all of the "cajun" food we ordered tasted like it was frozen and reheated. This included the gumbo, shrimp etouffee, and crawfish etouffee. The restaurant itself looked as though it had not been updated since the 1970s, and it wasn't super clean either. Also, several places on the menu had little asterisks telling you that the seafood "may be imported." For a nice restaurant not far...
