Saltgrass Outdoors Lodge - Fishing Charter - Hunting Trips

VERY windy weather forced us to cancel the day of so we can’t comment on the fishing, other than the group that came in the evening before from fishing killed it. Service was friendly, room was comfortable, and food was excellent. We hope to stay here again sometime and hopefully fish.

Its a beautiful lodge with the most friendly people. they really treat you like family. All of the boat captain's made you feel comfortable, especially if you have never done off shore fishing. And the food was amazing. We cant wait to go back.

This area of LA is considered “a man’s world” but Saltgrass outfitters really made a lady feel welcomed! My husband and I are huge anglers and this was my first time to LA to fish. Saltgrass was an amazing experience.. from the good/respectful company of other guests, the employees of the property, the guides, the food, the house overall and of course the fishing! It was cold and windy the two days we were there and were given the option of fishing or not and of course we went out! We had an huge success while on the water, even caught my PB red 🙂 I’d recommend this outfitter to any one but especially those with wives or a group of women! We will 100% be returning!

This was one of the best trips we have had. Food was amazing. Fishing was great, just don’t go the week before duck season…lol.

Noteworthy details: The house has tons of room. You will feel right at home and the back porch view is a great place to hang out after a good day of fishing.

Had a lot of fun fishing for redfish. Had 3 bulls on our boat, and most of our other boats were also successful. Food was great, and the stay was very pleasant.

My daughter and I drove 8+ hours to duck hunt as well as fish here. Upon arrival, we were welcomed very unprofessionally. Waking up at 3am to hunt the next morning just for the guides to have no plan let alone any motivation for duck hunting. There was no original plan set in stone. Both of the guides were confused as to who was going and what they were doing the day of. The guide told us we would hunt that afternoon after we woke up ready to go the morning of duck hunting. As we pass multiple duck hunting boats to meet our guide at the boat ramp, he informs us that there is no water and we are not able to hunt. The owner was not in site to address any issues. I will not recommend this hunting outfit to anyone. All in all, this hunting & fishing guide service desperately lacks professionalism & communication skills. We are very disappointed & regret booking our hunting/fishing services with Saltgrass Outdoors.

Poor customer service. There was a lack of communication between the guides. No manager was on the property. Hunting Guides did not want to hunt. Drove 8 hours from Florida to waste my time. Do not recommend this company to anyone.

I spent a week entertaining customers at Saltgrass and we had a fantastic trip. The lodging is clean and comfortable, food is top notch, and the fishing is incredible! Highly recommend bow fishing for anyone who has never experienced that.

This place is amazing and an experience of a lifetime for anyone looking to catch Red fish or duck hunt. I stayed 4 days with my 9yr old son and am so glad I choose to stay at the Saltgrass. The owner Raymond provides a charming location with fine dining at his lodge. His personal attention to detail and going the extra mile for his guests is why I recommend staying here. Not to mention he has the best fishing .and hunting guides. We caught trophy size red fish of 38 and 42 inches. Thank you Raymond and Ike for an incredible experience.
