let me start by saying that i am sorry to have to give the any stars. it was not even worth the energy to write this review. this has over the years been many different places to eat, but as i know, none were this bad. first, it was so dimly lit that i could not see. (maybe by design or not) after she took my order, for a 16 dollar cheeseburger steak, (where's the cheese) she asked me how i would like it cooked. i knew that was trouble. i asked for it medium well. people today don't know how to cook hamburger steaks. about 20 minutes later, she came out and told me they were frying some fresh hush puppies and she would bring me some when they came out the grease. NOT!!! they NEVER came. the hamburger, gravy, and mac and cheese, came 45 minutes after i ordered them. besides me there were only two tables occupied. when my meal FINALLY came, it was luke warm. nothing was hot. the cheeseburger was so well done that the serrated edged knife would barely cut it. about the cheese; it is easier finding the pork, in pork and beans, than to find the cheese in that piece of meat. the average price for lunch there is between $15.00 - $35.00. not even worth the gas to drive there and back home. STAY AWAY!!! when i got there i asked for a go menu to take home. i left it on purpose.

Went in with my daughter she LOVED the gumbo!! We got chicken and sausage it was LOADED with chicken and sausage, I am picky with gumbo but it didn’t disappoint AT ALL! Got the oyster sampler with the Rockefeller instead of Atchafalaya they were AMAZING hard to pick which is my favorite I have had it with Atchafalaya as well from here and that crawfish Étouffée over the top is a great mix with the chargrilled oyster!! Brayden was our server he did fantastic he had other tables but was attentive to all of us and what we needed! He brought out hush puppies to us along with everyone else he was serving to hold us over and to try until our order got to our table (told us they are made fresh daily in-house) once the oysters were finished the cook that had made them brought them to us and let us know he prepared them they were HOT, FRESH, and SIZZLING when they hit our table! They were in size LARGE and tasted AMAZING can’t pick a favorite because they were all great! Great work from the front to the back of house!

The stakes are the best, the service is excellent. And the owner is the best, makes sure that everyone walks out happy, full, and satisfied. Good place to eat with family and friends or a special occasion. The staff at ca cest bon keep up the good work!!

Good food and (very) generous portions. The atmosphere is a bit Spartan, and the service just a bit slow (but not bad). Since we're all here for the food, let's focus on that. Just about everything on the menu is big enough to share with someone else. If you can eat the whole Eggplant Pontoon, you might need to reconsider your life choices (or maybe you have a Michael Phelps workout routine and you actually need 10,000 calories). Seriously- the portions are huge. Plenty of food. The chargrilled oysters are all good - all five varieties. We had the sampler with chargrilled, Clem's style (pimentos, feta, and bacon), Kicking style (bacon and jalapeños), and Rockefeller (spinach and cream cheese). All of them are good, all of them worth having again. The shrimp and grits were the only lackluster thing we had - very good flavor (good, creamy grits with bacon flavor), but very few shrimp. This dish would be ten times better with a few, large blackened or grilled shrimp on top of the grits instead of a few small ones mixed (buried) in. The side of onion rings, on the other hand, were top notch- golden, crispy, and sweet. The Eggplant Pirogue is also top notch. The etoufee is excellent- thick, dark, rich and full of crawfish, all on top of and inside a deep fried eggplant. A very good dish (and also too much to eat - there will be leftovers). The side of loaded potato salad (also a candidate for leftovers) is very good - full of cheese and bacon. Overall a good experience. The food is good and plentiful. You won't leave hungry.

It was a bit busy when we went in, but the staff was very apologetic for the wait and we were eventually sat and served by the owner himself, who was helping out his staff, which we were happy to see. It's a still a bit new and the set up is kind of awkward, but you can see they're trying and I think given time it will be a great place. The fried shrimp platter I got has fresh shrimp, but the batter was very dark and a bit bitter. I'm pretty sure the grease needed to be changed, but it didn't bother me too much. The shrimp itself was still good quality. I think I'll probably give them a bit more time to get settled before I come back, but I'd like to try it again.

I ordered the 8 oz Angus Beef Cheeseburger with Sweet Potato Fries. The meal was delicious. The burger was large, juicy and flavorful. The sweet potato fries were a great cut and sprinkled with sugar which made them tasty but not too sweet.Service was great and the owners children came to visit my table. Some people may be annoyed but I thoroughly enjoyed it as a formed child of business owners that grew up going to our family business it was nice seeing their sense of family.I encourage you to be patient and kind as some of their staff is special needs and are eager to chat. I will definitely be returning to enjoy this restaurant and tell all my friends and family.

May have taken a bit to get the food but it was great. I order the bacon wrapped shrimp, fries, and Mac and cheese. The bacon wrapped shrimp were big and juicy and it tasted amazing. The fries were good too but wasn't reality a fan of the Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese needs a little work but overall the food was delicious and all the workers were fantastic. I know it's busy but they try their best. Will come back again eventually

Tonight we had dinner here and truly enjoyed the experience. My wife ordered the grilled shrimp salad and I ordered the fried oyster po-boy. My wife said the salad was great and the oyster po-boy was possibly the best oyster po-boy I have ever had. The oysters were fried perfectly and the sandwich was stuffed with them. We will be back

This was our first experience and it will definitely not be the last. Portion sizes were HUGE and enough to take home for another meal. From the hostess, to our server (Brianna), to the owner, all were outstanding in every aspect.I’ve never seen a restaurant where the owner puts their personal cell phone number on the door if a customer has an issue. He made sure to visit tables and even waited on tables at one point because they were so busy. Can’t ask for more than that.

Food was good definitely will be back !!! They didn't have their liquor license yet but they said they are working on it. Their oysters was good too but forgot to take a picture. I definitely would recommend to everybody!!!

The food was fresh and delicious. The portions were so big that I brought home more food than most places serve for a meal!! You won't be sorry!
