For those that don't know their smoked sausage is the best anywhere around. Period. Its one of the few places left that actually SMOKE their sausage versus just adding liquid smoke to it and calling it smoked. Most of the crap offered in stores is just that, sausage with liquid smoke added (some don't even do that) and the internal temp brought up to 165 degrees and they get to call it smoked. Oak Grove sausage will change the way you think about sausage. And if you really like smoked sausage and you try some of theirs you won't want to eat anything else. These people get it! And of course all their other products are OG's and have been around for years and years. Staples in our homes.
This place is fantastic. Locally and family owned, friendly and wonderful customer service, and on top of that, great products. The jambalaya mix, fish fry, garlic seafood boil, and in-house made sausage are all fantastic. Their creole seasoning salt is the best of all-- you can put it on anything. Their prices can't be beat. Go once and you'll be going for years.
LOVE LOVE LOVE, The dirty rice mix!
I literally travel from the Midwest to Gonzales Louisiana to shop at Lamendola's Supermarket and cleared the shelves of every dirty rice package..... Unfortunately, I have run out and having a hard time finding it..... HELP
I've used Oak Groves jambalaya mix most of my life. Made it with chicken, beef, shrimp, crawdads, alligator sausage and for the first time elk. All delicious great product.
The sausage seasoning is the best. Highly recommend.
