I have has shrimp stew from lake Charles to Morgan city. From Chalmette to Shreveport. You won't find better than at Pirogues Cafe. I was going to go home and cook it today and decided to order from here since I had the baked chicken and dirty rice yesterday... I'm so very happy that I did. Wow. Its better than mine.. Great flavor. Perfect thickness. Lots of shrimp.. And the potato salad. Wow! I can't wait to try the lasagna and other stuff. <3 great staff. Cozy...
In my opinion the BEST shrimp po-boys around! We always try to visit every time we come in town. The only downside for us is that they are not open on Saturdays! We are making a quick trip home and we are going to miss out this time!
This place is awesome for a lunch plate. Great tasting and decent portions. I know a lot of construction guys and play workers order from here often. I had the fried pork chop and mashed potatoes with side salad and French bread. Yum!
