Great coffee and vegan baked goods! So happy to find some vegan treats!
Kaity and Emily have created a special place for Ruston in Common Goods. Their vision to make great coffee and scratch made baked goods is a reality.
From a crowd sourced startup to a daily grind, where hard work and dedication to craft show in each coffee drink, delicious toast, gluten-free donut or specialty sandwich.
From the minute that you walk in, you'll feel welcomed and cared for. By the time that you're ready to leave, you'll know that you want to come back.
We're lucky to have a great coffee shop with craft baked goods and a staff that is up to the task and always ready to care for your needs. My wife and I love our Monday morning retreat to Common Goods. She loves the Spicy Hummus Toast, and I always get a Deluxe Breakfast Sandwich and something sweet from pastry case. Dirty Iced Chai for her, Classic Hot Latte for me.
Thank you, Kaity and Emily!

First time staying in Ruston and we visited Common Good because the pics on Google looked nice. It did not disappoint. The staff were super friendly in an expedient kind of way. All business smiles and hustlers working hard to get the food and coffee out! We ordered the Avocado Toast, a Sugar Free Hazelnut Iced Latte, and a Hot Vanilla Cappuccino... all was perfect! I could not find a single thing I would have done differently. Well done.

My avocado toast was great! Coffee was decent? modern vibes with southern service ??
On the expensive side, lot sounds, but clean, rapid: coming and going.
No parking.
Parking: Near public library, across from a major new convenient store with 100% gas what is always busy.
Wheelchair accessibility: Person in a wheelchair would have a different time because the door (hot & humid outside) wants to closed it as the glassdoor is spring loaded.

Just had the Hummus toast and Cafe au lait. Thank you, I can tell it wasn't thrown together, each topping was individually placed. Makes it feel like my individual order matters. Each employee I encountered was friendly and made eye contact as they went about their duties. My only down sides were lack of parking & 'need more tables' -it was full ? making it hard to concentrate on my book with all the conversations going on around me. Maybe expansion is in the future.

Having lived in both Oregon and Manhattan, I've had my fair share of coffee shop experiences. Yet, this particular shop in Ruston stands out from all the rest. The combination of affordability and high-quality food is genuinely impressive for a coffee shop in this area. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. The deluxe breakfast sandwich is exceptional and highly recommended. I'm also quite intrigued to try the brie, apricot, and bacon toast on my next visit. For anyone who appreciates great coffee shop fare, this place is a must-visit.

I’ve been here twice now, once on a Saturday around 10:30, and once on a Thursday morning. Both times were very busy but Saturday had a line out the door!Their Instagram shows they make everything in house which you can really tell through their craft. The first time I went here, that Thursday, I declared it was the best coffee spot I have been to. When I came back a few weeks later on a Saturday, the coffee was a bit different tasting, still good but not like that first time. However their baked goods were still just as tasty.I got the pumpkin muffin the first time I went and it was the best one I’ve had, I love pumpkin muffins. My mom got a banana crunch toast thing and typically I don’t go for that kind of stuff but even that tasted magnificent to me.The next time I went I got a cinnamon roll which was HUGE and only $4.25. I have braces so it’s hard to bite into things like that, I grabbed a fork and knife on my way out yet I didn’t even need the knife bc the fork dove right into the soft cinnamon roll.Great place, only downside is the lines/wait times and lack of space. Which wouldn’t be a lack of space for a normal coffee shop but is for their demand!

This place has a great choice of hot drinks! I like the peppermint tea (it may have a different name on the menu).

By far the best coffee in Ruston, nicest people, and all the baked goods are 10/10.Can’t recommend this place enough.Recommend the latte, avocado toast or the deluxe breakfast sandwich — sweets are good too.
Parking: Free parking in the back with a back entranced that is unmarked. Door is always unlocked, though.
