Y'all want the best soul food in Ruston? Stop by the Family Spot and get you some real food! Best pork chops I've had in a long time and the cabbage was awesome! Absolutely loved the fried cornbread. Will make a habit of stopping here every time I come through Ruston. Besides, support your local businesses. They give their very best to you as a customer.

Food was on point. Customer service needs tweaking.Placed my order over the phone at 2. The site states they closed at 3. Received a call at 2:20 asking if I was coming to get my plate. I told them yes I was on my way. I arrived at 2:40 and was told they just sold my plate to someone else because the window lady had to go. She was getting in her car (frowning at me) when I pulled up.The background lady went back into the building to assist the owner in preparing me another plate...

This place does not disappoint with the food. It's nothing fancy. it's not a sit down restaurant. Limited hours. And it's a little out of the way. But even with all that, this is where I go when I want some good home cooking. If you want a plate, I suggest you call in your order because when it's gone, it's gone!
