I didn't enjoy it at all. There was a dead fly in my tomato and cucumber salad and I couldn't eat another bite afterwards. I should have taken a picture of it but all I could think about was not regurgitating all over the place. So I sat there and was just going to drink my tea and the glass had dried food on it. ??????????Therfore I will not be able to give this place a good review or any stars. If I work with the Health Department, I would have shut them down.

Tasty Louisiana

The whole fish was bland the frog legs was bland the boiled shrimp was over cooked and spicy the cinnamon roll was nuked not homemade would not recommend this place

Shrimp too salty, ice cream had no flavor. Otherwise food okay, but not exceptional. Having to eat off Styrofoam plates with plastic utensils doesn't lend itself to a positive dining experience. Actually, I would rate 2.5 stars.

The food was great and they kept it hot. I'll be back.

So, Saturday night was date night and we decided we wanted to go the new Frank and Janie's in Ruston. We love a good seafood buffet :)PROS: Price is MORE than reasonable for a seafood buffet.Fried fish was excellent as were the oysters and frog legs.Really good and flavorful tartar. sauce; you can tell it's homemade.Green beans were excellent.Boyfriend said they were fresh.Super nice and friendly staff.CONS: Fried Shrimp were incredibly salty.Boiled shrimp, which I expect to be spicy was the only thing that wasn't. And it was a little overcooked.Crab patties/cakes were so spicy they made my nose run as was the gumbo (I think it was gumbo). There was only lettuce and coleslaw on the "salad bar" and only 1 spoon for it.Understaffed (who isn't)Overall, in my opinion, it was not worth the 35 minute drive.

Terrible place to eat. Arrived a few minutes before 8. They was out of crouton and bacon bits and no salad dressing for salads. They didn’t have frog legs or boiled shrimp, no gumbo, jambalaya or Étouffée. We had to ask for them to put out more fish filets. They was out of the peach cobbler and the ice cream machine was broken!!!!! Absolutely the worst place ever.

I'm really happy for Sam to start his parents business again. Food was awesome.

LostInTheEnd

Not even worth taking a pic of the food. The fried food aint seasoned and the desserts are lil Debbie snack cakes but on the fried food they atlest tried to make it right so if i come back and they get better MAYBE it'll change my review but for now this is the rating. The best part was the fish and i dont like fish.

For a seafood place they need to learn proper seasoning and breading. Some of the worst I've had in our area.

If you haven’t found this little gem right between 2Dudes and Khalo, you’re missing something great. Sam has it going on. It’s so important to support local right now! Great crawfish from great people.
