Please Read Until The End…….. The lady that has the key to my heart lives in another city and I wanted to do something different for her Valentine’s gift. So I decided to have lunch delivered to her job. Unfortunately, her job doesn’t have any nice eateries within the area. Not to be outdone, I called Hot Rod Bar-B-Q which is about 30 minutes away from her job. I explained my valentine goal to the mgr. She was very courteous, attentive and willingness to assist. But due to the delivery distance, she had to call the owner to get approval and guidance. The owner embraced my request to provide a Valentine’s Day lunch and personally called me to let me know that she is not only approving my delivery request, but she is going to personally make the delivery. I was completely blown away with this extraordinary level of customer service. But wait! It gets better. The owner attempts to make the delivery to find that the school is closed for a holiday break. The owner calls to notify me of the closure. I was happy with the effort and was ready to take a loss. But the owner tells me that she wants to see this effort successfully through, she asked me to give her the personal address for the delivery to be made with no additional charge. She made the delivery and shared the efforts made with to do something different and special for her valentine. I received BIG KUDOS because the food was excellent, the extra effort made and she has never had a gift of that nature for Valentine.
I can not wait to get the opportunity to visit the area to make my way to Hot Rod Bar-B-Q in Ruston, Louisiana to enjoy the food and personally thank the owner/staff for going above and beyond in their customer service for me.
Always yes to Hot Rod's! It's consistently good food for a fantastic value, and the staff is always so nice and friendly. I have lived in Ruston since 2012 and have always loved this place. (We got their catering for our rehearsal dinner at our wedding in 2016!) It's one of my favorite stops for lunch, but it also is a great option for takeaway. They have student specials as well. I highly recommend the loaded baked potato or the sandwich plate!

Was told this BBQ place had awesome loaded bake potato soup so decided to send some to my local friend. Included the brisket plate with sides to make a full meal. Her feedback was the entire order was super good! Staff was very friendly handling the delivery order and got the food their on time and still hot. Will be eating here more often when I visit Ruston.
Amazing little BBQ place, a true gem. Their service setup is built for speed, very efficient and simple to order. There's a drive thru and tables to dine in. Pricing is great also, very affordable and perfectly in line with quality. We will definitely be driving from West Monroe to come here more often. Worth a stop for sure.

Was working in the area about to head back to Shreveport decided to stop by haven't had BBQ in a while and I have to say I am very impressed with everything. The service was great employees obviously like their job that's a plus. I will return and put the name out there thank you for the great food and service experience hope to see y'all again soon
