Never been disappointed here! Nice quiet environment. Super friendly and best Asian food in Ruston!

Went here on 7/31/25 at noon. Walked in to a dead atmosphere, place was practically empty and quiet. Never been here before so was unsure on what to do we sat down and were told we had to order at the front, we ordered our food a shrimp tempura roll, and two other rolls. It was 32$ with one soft drink. When I seen our rolls I was already off put because i know what good sushi is. I tried my shrimp tempura roll and was immediately like no this isn’t good. One of my pieces didn’t even have shrimp in it just the tempura. I ate another two pieces because I hate complaining but I just couldn’t do it anymore realized I had to say something. I told the lady who brought the other roll that I don’t normally do this but it just wasn’t good, they asked for specifics like the shrimp seemed to not be fresh and it overall wasn’t good? Did not taste right. They argued with us several people went talk about what to do about it because the lady said she can only refund a full plate, but how would I know it’s good if I didn’t try it? The cook didn’t seem to take criticism well and pulled the shrimp out of my roll and smushed it to show that “its fresh” even though the other lady said they cooked it this morning. Shrimp tempura should definitely be fried to order. Ended up not giving us money back on my roll but only my man’s roll that he took one piece off of. I used to be a waitress and when a customer says they’re food isn’t good they don’t like it you don’t sit there and argue with them and pick apart their food. That’s just insane. Terrible service won’t be back. Sushiro is the only place we will continue to go to in Ruston.

Bring an appetite! I was shocked that how large the portions were. I enjoyed my leftover chicken hibachi for lunch the next day. Excellent prices.

Me and my partner came to order on 02/13 around 6:15pm/ 6:30pm and as we were ordering the older the lady in the front taking orders was rushing and charged more than what was asked. We asked for TWO Yakimeshi, one with (2) meat and another (3) and two order of sushi. I tried calling and the phone is off the hook….
