We loved this place...ambiance was excellent, our server was Great! We met several fAmily members, so we had a total of 6 people in our group. My ONLY complaint was a 20 percent gratuity on our tickets....
Its hard not to give Ponchatoulas a 5 star, but since I've only ever had one thing from there, the Red Beans and Rice, I think its unfair to give all 5 stars from my experiences. Ponchatoulas has an amazing atmosphere in the beautiful downtown Ruston. I love the restaurant from the location alone, but that doesn't mean the food is disappointing. I absolutely love their Red Beans and Rice, and everyone else I've been with has praised their meals, from fried catfish...

THE FOOD WAS GREAT AND THE SERVICE WAS DECENT. I WAS THERE FOR A GOOD HOUR AND A HALF WITH A HELPING OF STUFFED CATFISH AND SEAFOOD GUMBO. CAN'T GET SOME GOOD LOD SOUTHERN CAJUN COOKING ANYWHERE BUT IN LOUISIANA!
I WILL DEFINITELY RETURN AGAIN IF I CAN SOON!
