We stopped at White Lightnin' after googling places to eat - just passing through Ruston. The staff is very attentive, kind, and courteous. Diverse crowd and good music. The food took a few minutes longer than expected, but the host-owner told us himself that the first plates were not up to par, so he sent them back. We were comped a drink and they took excellent care of us. The pork chop was cooked to perfection and was very flavorful. My partner had the blackened redfish, which she really enjoyed. No room for dessert! I am sure we will stop in again.

Casual, sophisticated bites in Tuston, LA. Very impressed with the menu here. Service was great, fast, and helpful picking from the menu. Inside gave me a south Louisiana vibe with live music playing while we were there. I recommend the Pimento app and the herbed tuna. LARGE cocktail menu has something to suit anyone’s taste. I am@not up here often but I will definitely come back for round 2!

This place is a gem. Truly creative menu with some great choices. We had five people at our table, everyone had a different dish, and everything was exceptional. The chef stopped at our table and was very personable. We live 30 miles away and will be making the drive many more times.

A little background first. High foodie and home chef. My wife and I have traveled the country particularly the South from New Orleans to Charleston to Savannah. We love Southern cuisine. Even though we're from Chicago. We found ourselves in Ruston Louisiana, I type in fine dining restaurants in Ruston on Google and White Lightning is at the top the list. I was skeptical, this place is outright amazing we met Sean, he guide us through the menu with the help of his Excellence staff. I have lots of great culinary memories at the age of 64 but this place will be near the top of that list. It's a must stop if you're in the area. Reasonable pricing great service great food just can't say enough oh and great cocktail!

This is our favorite date night or any night we don't want to cook place to go ! Everything on the menu is exceptional and the cocktails are always amazing. Tonight we had the special, Duck Confit over rice grits. Very light, so tender, and definitely a favorite now.

Staff were great, cocktails nice and large, interesting selection. Tasty, fresh ceaser. Only complaint was the shrimp and grits which were VERY salty. Great texture with the grits, but ate little due to saltiness.
Parking: We were there at 5:30 on a Monday night, very easy parking. I imagine weekends are alot different.

Happening place in Ruston. Great food and drinks. Recommend the lemon drop martini and peach daiquiri. Truffle fries never disappoints!
Parking: Due to their location parking is a problem here. You have to park a good distance away if you go on a weekend night.
Wheelchair accessibility: Crowded place on the weekends. Not much room to move about.
