What a delightful surprise to find such a sophisticated menu in Ruston! Extensive cocktail menu, with old favorites and imaginative new ones. I can recommend the French 75😏 The redfish meunière was perfect, and my friend’s shrimp and grits was excellent. Pimiento and cheese has been done to death, but try theirs—you’ll be glad you did. We travelled to Ruston area for a golf tournament at Squire Creek; we had no idea on where to eat. Stumbled upon White Lightnin' and we are sooo glad we did. The food was amazing. The first night we had the pork chop with pear chutney sauce and it was tremendous. We ate at a different restaurant the second night which was just OK.
