Every time I visit my in-laws I always stop in at Duckroost. They have any kind of seafood you want as well as boudin and cracklins. The cracklins are a must have! If you want good seafood or other cajun fare you must try Duckroost at least once, or all the time like myself!😁

It doesn't get much better than this.
Local! Hot and fresh seafood. Dine in and leave the mess.

We ordered 40lbs of crawfish for mothers day and they were ready on time, hot and delicious! All the moms were happy!

I used to love this place, but now I can't anymore. I got some shrimp from Duckroost and it was bad and not good anymore. Also the quality in some of their food has gone down.

Great bunch of people that work there . I call and ask for a 100 lb of crawfish for a week in party . The had them made on time and I will tell you they was the best crawfish I ate in a very long time . You want some seafood you need to get to Duckroost they are awesome

At first look, you would think it's just a convenience store with gas pumps. It's actually a store with gas pumps and great seafood. Small interior dining room, cooler full of cold beverages, both adult and kid friendly varieties. They have a cooler of frozen seafood products you can purchase for later use or a hot line for items on the go. The hot line has meat pies, boudin, and a host of other goodies. The crawfish were well seasoned, but not too spicy. The head off shrimp were just as delicious and very large. Best overall experience I've had so far this year. Pricing at the time was head on shrimp $10.99 and head off $11.99, crawfish were $6.25 a pound. If you're in St. Amant make sure you check them out.

Good hot fresh boiled seafood & sides. Wish they had fountain drinks and a condiment bar with sauces, lemons, etc. all the needs for boiled seafood Casual seating and atmosphere.

First time I went cracklins were excellent but today I Went around lunch time and got some old cracklins that tasted funny!! And a very dry boudin ball with hardly any pepper jack cheese ! I don't know what's going on because the first time I went to cracklins were excellent?????? And they had no seasoning on them??? I was very disappointed!!
