They had a special menu advertised for Mother's Day. However, for such a special occasion, they did not plan for staff/server absences. Many tables were not being used on the patio area, because they were short of servers. This was poor planning. To take your Mother or anyone for such an occasion and endure a 3+ hour wait is unacceptable.

I had been here before and enjoyed it very much so I was excited to go back. The service this time though was HORRIBLE and I was very disappointed and annoyed. I was part of a large group of about 30 of us and we had reservations. We were seated on the patio and were given a special menu of items to order from that would be quick and easy as to not slow down the kitchen. My friend and I were among the first to get there and the others trickled in. We immediately placed our order and told the server we could only stay for an hour so we wanted to get our food order in now (sandwich and salad). 45 minutes later we still hadn't received our food, despite checking in with our server several times about it. All she could say was that she put it in. She didn't seem to care anyways. 50 minutes in, I went to the hostess stand and asked for the manager and told her I needed to either cancel my order or get it in a to-go box if it was ready and my check because we needed to leave. She said she'd check on it and never came back out to me. About 5 minutes later, I saw the staff bring the food out for two of our tables, so I walked back to our table with empty to-go boxes. My friend and I were the last two people to get our food placed (on plates) in front of us. The whole hour we sat there, our drinks were not refilled either. No one, not the server nor the manager, seemed to care or apologized for the delay or anything. We paid our check in full and left. I will likely not be going back as they don't seem to care about their customers...only making a sale.

No real vegetarian options. You can get a salad without meat( all their salads have meat) but you will have to pay full price

Food was great-The sausage in my red beans was amazing! I think maybe our server was new… She made a lot of basic mistakes..The fans are pretty noisy outside…but we will definitely keep going back when we visit Saint Francisville!

My boyfriend and I dined in for an early dinner. We got the seafood spinach and artichoke dip. It was so good! We were scraping the bowl. I got the jacked up hamburger steak as recommended by our super friendly waiter, Taylor. It was also good. Do yourself a favor and get the bread pudding with white chocolate. It was AMAZING!

We had early dinner here several times on a vacation through the area. Staff was extremely friendly and the food outstanding. The portions are large so it is a very cost-effective restaurant to use if you like sharing

The lady at the counter was great. Store was clean and well stocked. My only issue was with some of the food. I am a big fan of boudin and I'm sorry to say theirs is average at best and to me a notch below. I don't care for mashed up filling. Maybe I caught them on a bad boudin day, if so, my apologies. We got duck breast, andouille and smoked sausage and it was all good. Overall I recommend it, but the boudin needs work.

Where to start. Some positives, the outdoor seating area is nice under a large oak tree with plenty of fans and water misters. The menu has a wide assortment of items to choose from. Here is where the upsides end. Service wasn't great with only 4 tables taken in the outdoor seating and 10 mins to finally get some waters.

The food was disappointing. The wife ordered fried catfish and shrimp that was just seafood and breading. While it was a good crispy, it lacked flavor which isn't southern. I ordered the shrimp, crawfish, andouille pasta. Sauce was spiced water, no consistency. The sausage was kiebasa sausage, not andouille... For the price of 20-30 per person you would hope for authentic food but it's just sadness. Don't recommend, sadly Popeyes have more Louisiana charm than this southern eatery in the heart of the south.

Update, came back again to give it another shot. They started adding andouille to the meals. Good job, one step closer to a Cajun meal. Now to just add more than one green onion to a pot of sauce(pic is the one chopped green onion I found). Had a 1792 bourbon and was more ice than bourbon which is a sacrilege in at least 7 religions. But ok, I get times are hard and good bartenders are few and far between.

The Francis Burger my fiance ordered came with just meat and bread, no toppings? Friends blackened chicken on brioche and just cooked chicken on poboy bread. Guys, this isn't complicated. The meals are simple and the prices are priced as if you have no competition...which you don't. Could at least try. I tried, best of luck to whomever tries this place.
