Had a great experience here the fried catfish was delicious and so was the red beans and rice. My mother had steak and she said it was delicious and a great value for money.

The food was absolutely delicious — everything we ordered tasted fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere itself was very nice.

Unfortunately, the service really missed the mark. Our side salads didn’t arrive until the end of the meal, served as if they were dessert. It took a long time to receive even half of our drink order, and we had to remind our waitress, Destiny, three times for the rest. She never came to check on our table, and I eventually had to go downstairs to the bar myself to order and carry our drinks back up.

When I let her know, there was no apology — just the drinks added to the bill. For most of the meal, she stood talking at another table while we helped ourselves to to-go boxes, napkins, and even asked for our own checks. When she finally came over, she said how busy she was, though it was clear she wasn’t tending to our table.

We were disappointed to see a 20% automatic gratuity added for our large party, especially considering the service. She also mentioned the tip would be split among the group, which wasn’t accurate. We even tipped extra on top of that.

We did speak with the manager,after paying and he was willing to try to make it right for us.
Based on other reviews, it seems this is a recurring issue with large groups. Despite the experience, we plan to return in December and hope to see improvements — because the food truly was wonderful and worth giving another chance.

The Francis
After locating the entrance, we were escorted to a table on the second floor. The decor is what I would call upscale rustic. The food is local, comfort, and really good. I ordered the gumbo. Pretty good gumbo, I appreciate the okra flavor and crawfish tails. We also ordered the crab cakes and the fancy fries. Both were very good. Our server was Taylor. He was very professional and attentive. Upstairs was great as we had it to ourselves. Great small town restaurant with good prices. I would definitely one back.

Online it says that the restaurant closes at 10 PM. I arrived at 8:56 and when we went to the bar the bar we were greeted by a rude host and a rude bartender that refuse to take our order and said that the kitchen was closed, despite the fact that it says that it's open online. I hope the owners see this review and strongly reconsider the people that they have higher here because their poor work ethic and they're nasty attitude really gave me a bad experience.

The fried crawfish sensation salad was the Best salad I ever ate! It was my first time and I will definitely return!! Outstanding service as well!

No matter how many times I visit Francis restaurant and trust me, it's been countless the experience remains unmatched. When you're in town, you absolutely must stop by to experience the extraordinary food, attentive service, and an atmosphere so comforting it feels like returning home. Francis isn't just for a meal; it's a tradition worth keeping.

I had the worst eggplant dish ever! It was so bad, I couldn’t eat it!!! If they don’t do something it will be the last $100 I ever spend in there!!!

What do I recommend🤔.........I have been eating here for years. The menu is always on point along w/daily specials. This review is for Samantha one of the Managers. She gets 5🌟s just on her own. Samantha addressed my concern after the ball had been dropped and then went above and beyond for any inconvenience. I just want her to know, I appreciate her and her efforts! HIGH👋🏾to SAMANTHA!
