“I went there for the first time last Friday for the Metallica tribute band. I have heard stories about the bar being a bit “rough” in the past, but I have also read and heard that they have done a lot of work to change the image, build a nice stage/music venue, and create a safe environment.

I am here to tell you that those stories are true! So true, in fact, that I brought my 22-year-old daughter to that show, and we felt completely safe! We had no issues with anyone. The bar tenders were great, and the fellow attendants were nice and respectful. I will be attending more shows at Bayou Thunder from now on, and whenever my daughter is in town again, I have no issue with bringing her with me.“

“Firstly, I love this place, but unfortunately my last order was made incorrectly. I always order Cajun Curse which has Margarita (green color), Vodka Freeze (white color) and Long Island Tea (brown color). It is noticeable when one is missing or less is added of one of the 3. There was no Margarita and very little Long Island Tea. Of course the taste was off, but since I drank half before I really looked down in it, I can't take it back. Please instruct your personnel on how to make each drink you offer. $26 for a gallon is not real expensive, but my taste buds were not satisfied. This happened once before only they added very little Long Island Tea. Sigh ...it has been a while since I came because of this. My brother likes the Cajun Curse and he noticed something was wrong. Please take time to make everything correctly.“

“This is a place for every demographic . The bartenders are friendly , the atmosphere is welcoming and they'll be a diverse crowd there . They have pool tables, a stage for live music and video poker . Plenty of parking. 10 out of 10 would recommend if your looking for a little dive bar.“

“Small place with an easy feel about it in downtown Shreveport. Easy walking distance to several other places for people wanting to roam around. Pretty good selection of popular beer include a couple of Abita beer options. Obviously they also carry your mainstream non local options as well. Not a bad place to have a drink and a conversation without having to scream to hear yourself talk or hear the other person talk. Would recommend it to someone looking to grab a quick drink. “We went around 10pm on a Monday and pretty much had the place to ourselves. The bartender and her regulars at the bar took great care of us and made great suggestions for fun drinks that included some delicious flaming shots.
We ordered pizza and a quesadilla from the kitchen and they were both both good portion sizes. The pizza was about average but the bell peppers we ordered on it were particularly nice and fresh cut.
The games around the place made for an easy good time. Dollar air hockey and the huge Tetris game upstairs were the hits for us.“

She helped 2 very picky mamas find the best options and reminded us to return for happy hour for BOGO and even said there was karaoke on Tuesdays! We will make sure to come back for both.“

“This was my first time dining here. I had the Mixed Platter, it was delicious. The brisket was so tender, and the ribs were delish but had almost no meat on them. “They have recently redone the Tailwind coffee shop to be more of a coffee shop and a bar.

I tried a delicious grilled cheese and one of their new cocktails.

It was all very good and I'm glad that there are now more options of food near the American Airlines gate.

Carmen was amazing, she was polite, friendly and very helpful answering questions since the bar only opened yesterday (1/14/2025)

“Connie bought her bar 41 years ago. This is the oldest bar in town continually owned by a woman. It’s a piece of history and treasure! “My husband and I came by yesterday. He ordered a frozen Crown and Coke and I had the King Cake daquari. The King Cake daquari is where it's at! It was like dessert in a cup, you can't even taste the alcohol, but you can feel it! The lady at the drive through window was so personable and bubbly. The drive through experience left me knowing we will be back soon to visit inside and stay a while.“
