The finest! I've been visiting Ernest's for over 20 years now, and one thing comes to mind each time I'm there, consistency! The food, service, and atmosphere are all consistently great and always leave you desiring a return visit. The food may be a bit pricey, but you get the finest quality available in the shreveport, bossier area. It's the real deal, y'all. So give it a try, and don't forget to order the marinated crab claws and bananas Foster for desert!

We finally got a chance to go back to one of our favorite restaurants in the whole world! There is NO place like Earnest's so far as we're concerned, so when we came back to visit family we made it a point to go there. Never disappoints! And our waitress, Pam, made sure that the experience was complete!

I was over from Texas with my lady friend. She and Mr. Earnest are close friends and we stopped by to say hello and Mr. Earnest ask us to stay for drinks and a few appetizers. Everything including our server (Ken) was 5 star. Thank you Mr. Earnest for making our evening grand. Kindest regards! John Davison

This is the BEST restaurant in the United States. I have been all over and no one, no one meets the hospitality, food and love that this restaurant has to offer. I will not be dining anywhere else in Shreveport because this restaurant has shown me love beyond limits. I feel at home when I am there, like I am with a big family. So so kind natured these people are and I will only be dining here from now on. Not only is the food quality amazing, but the people loving beyond words can describe. Ernest himself is a true sweet gentleman that deserves the world. Thank you for being so kind to us always.

This is a high-end nice restaurant. I went on a Friday night in jeans and a sweatshirt (accidentally- Im from out of state) and felt completely out of place! Everyone was so kind from the hostess when you walk in to every single server. Our glasses were never empty, the bread was great and dinner was awesome as well! We shared the dinner special which was lasagna and then the chefs dinner salad special. We didn't have left overs but we were full! It was the perfect amount of food and a lot more affordable sharing. There is a plate share fee but I think thats to be expected anywhere. We didn't plan on going there but it was a great experience and I definitely recommend it if you're into a nice inviting atmosphere and expensive non traditional food.Vegetarian options: Lasagna dinner special did not have meat sauce but even if you're a meat eater, it's still delicious!

Upon parking (left of restaurant) was informed it's for valet; but he was very kind and let us park there. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive, but when I ordered the fried shrimp appetizer I was steered into the crab legs also. Both were very good, but when I got the bill I was charged $24 for the four shrimp and $32 for the crab. Be careful what you ask for. Food was outstanding, and the real butter with fresh bread hearkened memories of my European military assignments.

A timeless and classy upscale Restaurant and Bar. Took mom here for her 80th birthday and our waiter Robert and his assistant took care of us like royalties! This was her first time at this Louisiana Landmark and she absolutely loved everything!! Thank you for a most memorable evening!

Had a 4:30 p.m. reservation before a 7:00 p.m. concert, was on time but took 15 minutes to be seated. Took a long time to get drinks and a long time to get menus. Started telling our waiter we had a time crunch. Food came out about 6:30 p.m. Asked for checks right away, mistakes on check caused more delays. My husband and my food was not good. Who puts veal piccata with sauce on a plate with crispy potatoes that were then mush. The rest of my group seemed happy with their meals, but overall a disaster.

Staff was very helpful in adjustments in our reservation for a large party. Service was on the slow side but they were very busy and were very helpful and nice. Food overall was good, several of the dinners were very large and recommend splitting, especially if your not local and able to take leftovers home.

For more than 40 years I've enjoyed this place. As a regular world traveler I can confirm no one makes better marinated crab claws, & the bread they serve with it is my absolute favorite!

The absolute best soft shell crab I’ve ever had! At the recommendation of our server I chose to add the shrimp, lump crabmeat, and mushrooms on top and it was divine. Of course we had the marinated crab claws as well. They are part of the unique dining experience.

Had 7:00 tickets for a show, got there at 4:30. Took about 15 minutes to get seated, took 15 minutes to get wine list, took another 15 minutes to get menu, another 15 minutes to order. 6:40 still no food. Told waiter we were running out of time, one of our checks was wrong. My food was not good, other guests said theirs was good. Bread was really good. Waiter brought wrong wine, didn't mention that they were out of the one they wanted until they had already had some.
