Ernest's is an institution with the most amazing food and service. The seafood is so fresh...especially for a place so far from water. The marinated crab claws are the best I've ever eaten with large and meaty crab fingers with a marinade that is super hard to replicate. Where to begin, The food was outstanding, the only thing that wasn't just amazing was the crab claw appetizer, not that it was bad, it just wasn't what I would consider enough meat for the money paid. The steaks we ordered were cooked to absolute perfection and the fish was delicious. I will say one thing for sure, if you are adventurous try the crawfish stuffed baked potato, it was really really good. That's about all I can say about the food. It was all top notch...
Went for dinner on a Saturday night and sat in the bar area. They have a full service bar and a fella playing the piano and singing 70's/80's hits. The service was great and I had the Ribeye cooked medium. It was literally the best steak I've ever had. Can't wait to go back. Only critique: it was kinda dark in the bar area. I didn't really mind it, but I can see how some people would.
