“Cool mideterranean restaurant in Shreveport.Ordered the Lentil Soup, Veggie grape leaves and Fatoush.Lentil soup: amazingVeggie grape leaves: tast plane , needs more lemon.Fatoush: portion was huge, which us good but also will fill you up. Seasoning if the salad was amazing, except wrong lettuce used which is iceberg. Please use Romain lettuce instead.Chicken Shawarma Wrap: chicken tasted plain. It was chewy and not seasoned correctly. “Do you ever wish you were born in some nameless village in Greece where everyone knew your family and your cousin and your cousin’s cousin? There would be a restaurant tucked cozily in one of the romantic alleys. The lights from within would fill the whole street outside and there would be the sound of sizzling coming from within the kitchen. You would walk down the way to that place every Sunday night and the owner would save that special table just for you right outside the front door under the blue and white striped umbrellas. When you arrived he would welcome you and quickly bring you a freshly dripped Greek coffee. You would sit there while the smell of lamb and chicken gyros floated through the air. You look at the menu but you already knew what to order. Now imagine that small town Greece feeling being transported to the other side of the world in a city called Shreveport, Louisiana. That’s the feeling you get when you go to Yeero Yeero on Youree Drive (La 1). It feels like going to your favorite spot. They will treat you like family and bring you freshly dripped coffee as you sit. You can even almost smell the ocean wafting through the atmosphere and we haven’t even arrived to the food yet. Whether you choose a traditional Gyro or some other option such as their Athenian Garden Salad or Portobello Kabob you will wish the food never ended. Of course you couldn’t eat another bite with their very generous portion sizes! The flavor bursting from every bite transports you back to Greece with every delight taste.“
“Greek Corner This was my very first experience eating Greek/Lebanon cuisine. I have to say it was fabulous! I cleaned my plate. The owners were very nice and helpful. She took her time to explain the menu and the various options with both food and drinks. I went with the Greek Beef Platter. The steak was cooked to perfection. The golden potatoes almost stole the show. They were so tender and had the right mixture of olive oil, butter and salt/pepper. Very good! I also highly recommend the salad. It had just the right amounts of fresh greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives and a homemade dressing. The homemade Taziki sauce was fresh and really good with the pita bread and I mixed it with my salad as well. I really enjoyed the Mediterranean citrus mint tea. It was refreshing and light. After the meal, we enjoyed a delightful, hot jasmine tea. It was really good for the soul. The chef even came out to check on us and our meal. I was very impressed with this family owned business. I will be coming back and bringing friends. This was a great, authentic experience. And well worth it! Very reasonable prices for fresh- never frozen ingredients! 5 stars!!!“
